I would definitely rather have Neyor than Billingsley. Different positions, but Neyor has the physical ability to be a first round pick, while Billingsley has the mental attitude to be a genuine pain in the ***.
I was hoping this was the guy Texas would pair with Worthy if he became available. 878 yards on a run heavy team that changed starting QB two thirds through the season. Also 20 ypc avg and 12 TD's. Sark did an in house with him last night.
I can’t believe no one on Sark’s staff isn’t giving us daily updates, preferably twice per day. Why am I sponsoring this site if @Dionysus isn’t making the connections? SMH
cnb, Not sure Neyor meets what we are looking for, but here are the low lights: 6'2/200 4.38 forty 46" vertical 3.0 GPA Unlike previous coaches, Sark will surely match him up on some 5'10" DBs.
No, there is always space for one more, particularly a "good one" or "can't miss one". I'm old school and believe that is why God invented Stat310 and Calculus. To quote our beloved former baseball coach when informed that one of his infield starters was in class rather than getting ready to start, "What the hell is one of my players doing taking Calculus"
I didn't know that. Very interesting. I just assumed they backed off when he committed to TN. I guess the Texas staff who he was not firm there. But he is a spring transfer. Has he not started classes in Knoxville?
TBC @TexasMBBcountry Gary P x CDC spotting in the Erwin. 7:29 PM · Jan 18, 2022 Not sure if this has been posted. If so, I apologize. At last night's basketball game. I guess wearing the longhorn gear makes it as official as it gets. Poor Patterson looks like he's about to break out in hives. Bet he never really thought he would ever wear the burnt orange.
Ex TCU Coach Gary Patterson Has Been Hired By Texas Longhorns - Sports Illustrated Texas Longhorns News, Analysis and More
He has not started classes there which has the folks in Rocky Top anxious. He took an official to Ole Miss and now us. I have a gut feeling that we will get him.
Fair enough. I'm trying to figure out why people comparing/wanting one more than another when they are not mutually exclusive. We got a pretty good player. Just don't see why we'd want to minimize him.
I wonder how Patterson’s role was pitched to coach K Patterson could be a big asset to this program, the man can coach up a damn good defense
mc, I only disagree because it has been so long since we had a really good LB, that a big, fast LB is my #1 priority. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any going through the portal. I trust Sark's priorities, just voicing my druthers.
mc, My sarcasm meter is broken. I've had a day of dealing with engineers, and I don't relate well to engineers. My partners only require me to do that once/twice a month.
One service believes that he loves Patterson, and also that he wants to complete 10 more hours at TCU to graduate. Translation: With Patterson in house, Mathis is coming. I hope that is true.
By all accounts there are a couple dozen more players hitting the portal before school is out. Our own blood letting hasn't occured yet other than a couple of db's and Moore. There will be some attrition come Spring. We have a long way to go.
