I don't know... Its hard to beat touring a campus composed of buildings from 1950s era roadside attractions and highway rest stops, followed by a dinner at the Dixie Chicken. Tough decision.
Austin is still Austin cool, but not quite as cool. B/CS has...more...than it did It's still worlds apart.
That was always my mnemonic device for remembering where the game was played on a given year—Ags are odd.
What made this funnier is that the AD talked as if this was some huge win, as if anyone from Texas had said a word about it or cared where we played it. But hey, if you can't get an actual victory, sometimes you have to make one up.
The hypocrisy is pretty blatant here. Had the last game been played in Austin, they'd all be DEMANDING the next game be in B/CS, and even the slightest hint of us getting consecutive games in the series at home would trigger cascades of complaints about Texas money, media, influence, conspiracies, corruption, etc...
Sad news: aggy baseball is in the final four of the College World Series. This means it's the first time since WW2 that aggy men will finish in the top four in any of football, basketball, or baseball.
Well the sun shines on every dog's *** at some point And even a blind squirrel will come across a nut every now and then.
Gosh, I guess everybody forgot about covid season. It is in fact the second time since WWII that you've had a team in the big 3 sports ranked in the top 4 at season's end. Congratulations, aggy!
That is a legitimate way to look at it too. I'm throwing the flea-bitten collie worshiper a bone since he clearly ties up so much of his self worth and identity in a 4th place finish in a poll of so-called journalists.
