While everyone else is in meltdown, let me congratulate the Bears on a good game- one that they totally deserved to win. I hope you guys go on undefeated. One thing about it, you still have the chance to really show up with hosting, I believe, both OU and Nebraska. Beat em both!
I agree...and I will have no problem rooting for Baylor to keep winning! It would be fun to see them knock off A$M and OU.....but it may only take winning one of those to place them in the big 12 Championship if OSU can beat OU.
Thanks so much guys. I have been with the bears through thick and thin and have seen a lot of really bad times in football. We have not beaten you guys since 1997 and it was 1991 the last time we beat you in Austin. The rangers in the world series and the bears in first in the south for now....I feel like I am dreaming.
OK. Congratulations are in order. However, is the exclamation point really necesarry on the end of your post. A simple "Congratulations." may have done the trick.
Yes, congratulations are indeed in order. The Bears have their best team in years and Robert Griffen deserves to be in the Heisman race. I shook hands with some of the BU fans in near us and they were giddy. As bad as I feel for the Horns, the Bears played a great game and deserved to win.
Two Baylor students sat in front of me and were a nervous wreck during the fourth quarter waiting for the wheels to come off. They were so gracious and happy for the win over Texas that I couldn't help but feel good for them, as pissed as I was at how our season has turned out. I shook their hands and told them to enjoy the victory. I hope our team can find itself before the end of the year, and I hope Baylor beats the piss out of aggy.
If every dog has its day, then it certainly goes for bears too. Congrats to the Baylor faithful. I imagine they feel great to see their program back on the upswing, and hopefully it will make for a more competitive Big 12-2 conference going forward.
Meh, every Baylor person I know on FB had some stupid comment about UT or the refs. I say f them and f Art Briles, I hope they lose out.
We sat in section 129, in the middle of what I believe is season ticket holders. All those around us were nice folks and good fans. Hope you guys finish out strong and injury free.

Congrats to the Baylor fans and players, enjoy it while you can. Art Briles and Mike Leach both voted Texas # 5 or 6 when most other coaches voted us #1 or 2. Your coach hates Texas so screw him. We will get our act together and you will go back to the Baylor we love.

I have no idea why he voted UT #5 but as UT had the same record as the OU, USC, Bama, and UF teams ahead of them on his ballot you could argue it both ways. I think and thought you were #1 but I can see how arguements could be made. USC- Narrow early loss to OSU UF- Narrow loss to Ole Miss Bama- Narrow loss to UF OU- Beat us worse that year I don't agree but it was certainly debatable at the time.
Glad to add my congratulations to the Baylor Bears. I was in Section 130 and sat near a former Bear player. Very nice people and gracious in accepting our congrats. I hope you guys stay in the top 25 for the rest of the season and finish strong. Magical season. Enjoy it!
Sammy, I can understand him thinking OU might be better than Texas based on what he saw first hand on the field, but I still have to think he had (maybe still has) some axe to grind with Mack Brown. Both Texas and OU had quality losses, Texas beat OU by 10 points, OU is #1 on his ballot, yet he votes Texas #5? [Lost In Space robot voice/] That does not compute! [Lost In Space robot voice].
Appreciate the congrats. We were in section 13 and were treated great by UT fans throughout the game. Win or lose DKR is one of the funnest environments to be an opposing fan. Good luck the rest of the way!
