    Do you ever watch Mythbusters?

They tested this very thing, and found out that metal in the microwave (especially the new ones) is not harmful, unless it is aluminum foil. When the foil is crumpled up, sparks can jump from one side to the other, and that can be a problem.

If you want to see something really cool, put an old CD in the microwave.

I had a roommate that didn't know anything about cooking. He put one of my grandmothers old pots in the microwave and it was sparking something fierce and melted the plastic handle on the lid.

Put in a bar of Ivory soap. I think it has to be Ivory, others I've tried didn't do anything. fun times....

What happens? You go to detention for a few days. The real fun is a napkin wrapped in foil!
