predict our record in the B12 tourny

Now that we've made the lineup adjustment, I don't see any reason we can't go 2-1 at the tournament.

We lose to either Kansas or Kstate in the finals.

That will solidify our #2 seed.

I'd rather lose in the semi's than see us lose another big 12 tourny champ game...

Actually, NO I wouldn't but most likely we will lose another champ game to KU. I think the venue should not be in KC with its close proximity to ku and ksu. Gives them too much of an advantage IMO. Bball tournys should be as neutral of a site as possible.

I hope we do make it to the finals because that will most likely mean we beat the poor aggies 3 times this season [IMG]

I think going 2-1 or 3-0 gets us a #2 seed, regardless. 2-1 and losing in the CCG probably ships us West or to New Orleans. 3-0 and winning the darn thing may get us the highest #2 seed and a trip to San Antone as a consolation present. To me, the only reason we should be happy with a #1 seed is if it gets us to S.A. Why would we want to be a #1 and get shipped out West?

Good win this weekend, Horns. BU is a tough match-up for us, historically.

I predict 2-1, yet I'm by no means conceding to a KU team we already beat in Lawrence. If we get two big wins our momentum will be back in force. It's likely KU and KSU will beat each other up in a tough semi. I think Baylor will give us a battle in our first game. Aggie will threaten but not enough to put the outcome in doubt in the last 5 min. And the final will be close. I say 2-1 at this point sounds right, but if we find our shot over the next few games...lookout KU or KSU.

I'm terrible with predictions, so I'll just say that it's very important that this team win at least two games in the tournament--not so much for the selection committee, but for the team's confidence and belief.

Saturday's win in Waco was a step in the right direction, but they've still got a ways to go to regain their late-January/early February form.

Our tourney schedule is tough BU, aggy /Mizzou/TT, Kansas.

I just hope we don't lose to aggy. It'll ruin the two beatdowns we put on 'em this year. I'll guess that we'll lose another CG to KU, who'll be out for our blood after the upset in Lawrence.

I would welcome a rematch with Kansas.

For one, beating the Jayhawks a second time would give us an outside shot at a No.1 seed.

Also, we got on a roll the last time we bested KU, and I've no reason to believe the same wouldn't happen again if we were able to repeat that feat.

If we win the Big XII tourney and beat Kansas in the finals, do we get a #1 seed? I would think Kansas will still get a #1, their record will be 3 loses, still better than any potential 1 seeds out there (Pittsburgh, Duke, NC, Notre Dame, etc.). We will have beaten Kansas twice. You beat a 1 seed twice, you're damn right you should be a 1 seed too. Just don't know if we'll get to be in San Antonio bracket. Is my reasoning sound?

3-0, average margin of victory of 15 ppg, beat down of KU, and # 1 seed.

Usually what happens in Conference tournaments does not affect the seedings too much. Texas is ranked 10 right now and is looking at a 3 seed or possibly a 2 IMO. I think Texas needs to Improve and find their shooting in the Big 12 tournament then they can do some damage at the dance.

1-1. I don't think we can beat the Aggies the way we are playing now. On the other hand, if Hamilton recovers from the sore hip, 3-0.

I don't like our draw. Would rather have some of the teams we've already lost to in our half just for the simple law of averages, if nothing else. I don't like our chances of defeating TWO teams for a third time this year (Baylor or ou and then A&M, assuming they defeat Mizzou) in order to get to the Championship game.

I do wish, however, that the final regular season standings would have somehow been tweaked just slightly to swap OSU and Mizzou...then you'd have all of the Big 12 South teams in the bottom half of the bracket and all of the north teams in the top half in the final year of a 12 team Big 12 and a championship game of the best of the south division against the best of the north division. I doubt that's happened in the 15 year history of the Big 12 Conference Tournament.

Don't like like out draw because there are too many teams we have dominated this season? Yeah. That makes a lot of sense. I think we have a great draw. We match up well with Baylor and aggy - obviously. We will go 2-1, losing to KSU or KU and getting a 2 seed in SA. Not a bad draw.

Hard to predict how Texas is playing now. If Texas can get past Baylor a tough team for Texas with their size plus they have Dunn who can go for 30 any game I think the Horns can make it to the Championship game. If Texas could win the Big 12 tournament then anything is possible for them? I am going to go with 2 - 1 with Texas losing to KU in championship game. Texas will be a 2 seed or 3 seed but they will not get to play at S.A. I think Kansas will be the # 1 seed in S.A. and Texas will go elsewhere?

I am going to make a wild prediction. 3-0 and we win the championship game against ksu, who I predict will beat ku again.

Yes its all unlikely, but hey, why not? I want to see us bet ksu and their creepy bug eyed coach.

2-1, and in an incredible series of events, we still end up with a #2 in the San Antonio region. I think someone out of UNC, Purdue, and SDSU will not be given priority over us. The current brack on ESPN right now has us as #2 in the SE and UNC #2 in the SW... just switch those and that's what I'm thinking will work best.

BYU has tough road ahead in their tourney. Most likely get New Mexico in semis, who they lost to twice already. Then SD St. in final. With losing a top starter, they may go out in semis, which would help us if we can win 2.

NC has to play Duke again most likely, may not help, but can't hurt one has to lose since both are ahead of us. Be best if NC got pounded. Duke won't be discredited with a finals loss, but maybe an NC route by Duke would knock Heels back decently, possibly behind us if we do very well.

The Big East is always a wild tourney with a sleeper doing well. Who knows with that tourney, could be some pleasing upsets.

I expect the Big Ten to go the way it seems it would. tOSU wins champ game. Probably should pull for Wisky to take out Purdue in semis and help us jump them. However, if we go out in semis that would be real bad, Wisky and Purdue might end ahead of us in that scenario.

One thing is sure, there will be several surprises. Let's just handle our own business and watch the drama unfold around us. [IMG]
