I don't know who Veetle is,but I would like to give a big wet sloppy to who(or is it whom??)ever he,she,or they are!! I have Dish and I'M not holding my breath about them carrying LHN.To Veetle THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! And I don't even care if Veetle is a bunch of guys,I'll still give a big one to 'em for allowing me to see my Horns!!
I was very happy with the Veetle feed. Someone mentioned it on another thread here, but at halftime I downloaded and installed the Veetle HD browser plugin and it improved the picture somewhat — not true HD quality but pretty good. I was just glad to be able to watch at home on the big screen and not have to go to a packed sports bar because f**k that.
I too want to thank the person(s) who did this. I was able to watch until about 6 minutes left in the game. Then got the copyright claim message. I noticed that others lost it way earlier and some of you got to watch the whole thing. Why did it happen this way? I have UNverse internet, was it them who cut off the feed from veetle? either way great job of spoofing the system! thanks!
Worked for me until about halfway thru 4th qtr. What a lifesaver. And I got a good laugh when you switched channels during the commercials. Hilarious.
I liked it when he switched to the LSU/OU game late in the second half to see what was going on. Speaking of the copyright claim...if those idiots doing the negotiations got their head out of their collective asses we wouldn't have to watch a pirated signal!
I am still trying to understand how having a network that very few can access was a great idea. As it was, we had coverage by national networks, which in itself, lent credence to the program, and was accessible to many more viewers. How was this network supposed to expose the Horns to prospects who are shopping around? As for Veetle, thanks so much for posting that link. I just hope the LHN doesnt pull the plug on it somehow. Though my computer at times got the commentary from another game at times, and it buffered at times, it was great to see the game.
Guess the AAS was to blame for the online feed cutting off, re a story by Mike Ward. One would have thought they could at least have waited until after the game to tell the LHN people about the signal.
So what was the damaged they suffered? People who weren't able to get the signal any other way were able to watch the game and their commercials? I guess the main damage is that there are fewer pissed out fans to call DirectTV and Dish, but I'm more pissed at UT and ESPN.
Anyone out there know how we can get an idea on the actual viewership for the game? And beyond that, what the potential viewership may have been with all the major carriers on board? HEB should be pissed. I watched the stream and I appeared there were very few advertisers other than HEB and LHN themselves.
Thanks again for streaming the game. I watched the first half from my phone, and caught the second half/post game at home on my laptop.
