I am trying to decide between:

    2012 Impreza 5 door
    2007ish Used Audi A4
    2009ish Used Prius

I'm about to go to Ohio so that I can drop rent (I get reimbursed for my hotel stay) and get per diem.
I have a rwd 2009 F-150 that gets about 20 mpg, but I'm thinking I want a car that gets better. Especially with all the driving that I'm going to be doing.

Any suggestions/opinions from people who have these cars or have had experience with them??

Only thing that comes to mind is that Audis are not particularly reliable and more costly to fix, but I like to have fun to drive cars so I'd go with the Audi. The others are utilitarian. One thing to keep in mind is that the mpg advantage that the prius has is not nearly so significant if its highway miles. (correct me if im wrong on that)

Our Prius gets 40-45 on the hwy so it's still pretty substantial. We have a 2008 Prius and love it. How many miles on the Prius? Might have to consider the possibility of replacing the hybrid battery in that, but you can probably get 3-5 years before that happens (guess).

for either the Audi or the Prius I would get one with less than 45,000 miles

The Prius will get 40+ mpg city or highway but the acceleration is not very good.

Subaru's not so great on the mileage but the 2012 is better with a sacrifice in power. It's a good road car and you can't beat the traction.

Audi A4 more reliable than you think but 2007 is starting to push it. Owned an 03 for 5 years and had no trouble with it but heard of a few problems after I sold it. Loved that car and if my closest Audi dealer wasn't 110 miles away, I would be in another. You may look at a used Passat with the 2.0 turbo. Really a lot of the same car at a lower price. But the Audi fit and finish will be better.

Prius is a commuter car and is utilitarian. If you are just looking to get somewhere then go for it. If you enjoy driving, you better drive one around for a few hours to see if you can stand it.

Update.. I decided to keep my truck. Getting a Camper Shell to put over the bed so I can have security for my travels.

Put some weight in the back end and am not expecting too many troubles getting around in the OH.. if it get's more sketchy than I like I'll get some winter tires.

    Thanks for the responses.
