Two to four inches in Midland. First white Christmas in years. Anyway, it's a welcomed relief from the drought.
Texoz, you're the only person I know who can take a wonderful season like Christmas and turn it into a problem. Maybe Mop's right. Of all the Texoz's in the world, you're the Texoziest.
Ahhh yeah Climate change. A bold and cynical move by environmental extremists to blame all amount of human suffering on the opulent American lifestyle. Drought........Global warming, Flood......Global warming. Hurricanes and Tornadoes...... global warming. Apparently, before the V8 engine the four corners of the earth had the climate of San Diego in October. Especially, scummy, was their political oppurtunism after katrina to make ridiculous predictions of multiple named storms per season becuase of mans affect on the environment. Of course, it was ******** and we've had mild seasons since then. Talk about the politics of fear....
GW is not a problematic thing for me to accept. It has been happening since we came out of the last Ice Age. It's that pesky "A" that's the problem.
You guys have some tight panties. All I did was say "Merry Christmas..." and post a link. If you guys want to send merry wishes my way, post a link showing that CO2 is not a heat-trapping gas. Seriously. Why don't you guys shut guys like me up by providing links to peer-reviewed science that states: a) CO2 is NOT a heat-trapping gas b) the increased CO2 from 200+ years of fossil fuel burning has no effect on climate

Yes, CO2 is a heat trapping gas. So, if CO2 were the only thing at work in the atmosphere, an increase in CO2 would lead to an increase in temperatures.... Wrong. There are more elements than just atmospheric at play with temperatures.
I just got this email from my dad, who lives in northern Minnesota: High of 55 today, beat the old record for this day by 18 degrees!! Unreal. The fall and winter have been the nicest ones in memory, dry, warm, no snow. We had a little snow, couple inches, but now that’s gone and a lot of bare ground showing up. The snow on the east side of the roof is gone. We need moisture, before spring gets here!
still waiting for links to peer reviewed scientific papers that prove increased CO2 isn't a problem for AGW or for ocean acidification.
a) It's nice to see you've moved the goalposts on what you'd like to to have posted. b) I've acknowledged that CO2 increases would help to increase temperature. That does not follow that there are not negative feedbacks that will cancel this increased temperature out. Here is a peer-reviewed paper that states that the overall feedback is negative
