Re: Kameel's "Embracing my last week as a Sooner; as I've chosen to transfer and further my education and football career at Texas A&M" though no contact had been made. No. Further. Comment. Necessary.
according to 104.9 The Aggies said they would not take the guy who claimed to be transferring to their school.
If they know what's good for them, they'll just bash some folks atop the skull with a baseball bat to get an exter year of eligibility.
Isn't it time these guys are reinstated, afterall it's getting close to 2-a-days and they are missing valuable workout time (or are they?). Afterall, they are suspended, not dismissed. There is a large difference between the two.
If you go view the video on sooner nation by espn jake trotter he states that all 3 have stipulations that they must meet before they can return in the fall, although trotter doesn't think (based on past history) that the odds are favorable that any will be back. Q. Hayes has tweeted that he plans to play in the fall. Short of incarceration its damn tough to be permanently removed from the ou program. If the receivers remain ineligible their passing game certainly takes a huge blow. Depth will be a major issue. Who knows about quality of starters. They better pray the JUCOs grow up and deliver come August and that the squad stays injury free in 2012. Neither the ground game nor TE productivity will close the gap.
1. Anybody that thinks that Stoops won't kick important starters off the team is living in a fantasy world. 2. Receiver play for OU is now a huge question mark next season. 3. There's only a few things a coach can do in this situation: a. Sign the #1 WR recruiting class in the country. Check b. Get the as many of them as you can to enroll early. Check c. Get the best JUCO transfer in the country. Check d. Get quality transfers from D1 schools and try and get them eligible. Check.
3. e. Suspend and not dismiss players from the team, and leave the door open for their return when previously mentioned possible replacements don't pan out. Anyone want to lay a bet as to how many play in Oct? Probably no Longhorns want to bet against a return, as we've seen this **** before.
Those nuggets of info came from a fan who thinks it's okay to flagrantly violate NCAA rules time and time and time again. He feels it's okay to have the sordid foundation of a program to be from cheating profusely over the years and act as if it is no big deal. Sure, REMF, we'll take your advice because we know you have to be a top notch person to root for that program. Beat your face.
Interesting response loop. 1. Bomar/Quinn, and so on and so on. 2. OU did sign the #1 Receiver Class in the Country. 3. OU did sign the #1 Juco WR in the country. 4. OU did get two quality D1 transfers both of which have a shot at getting a waiver to play next year. 5. Both TE's and Metoyer participated in Spring practice. No question OU has a huge question mark at WR and TE. That being said, there's not much more any Coach could do the deal with the situation.
