Poor timing, even tho he's right. I'd rather players and coaches be focused on 0u than answering to this quote from Shelton, er, Melton all week long
Anything that reminds Manny to stop the run first, supposedly his freakin defensive philosophy, is fine with me. Melton has earned the right to give us a check up from the neck up IMO. Hookem' Henry.
I don't know who this Henry Melton is, but I think Hank Sheldon's right about what he said. Didn't we move him to wide receiver or something?
^^^^^^Duane Akina and Larry McDuff were Co DC's in 2007 and Akina called the defensive plays. Muschamp took over in 2008.
Henry has a better eye than Mack Brown - like the kid in the Emperor's New Clothes - telling it like it is. The unfortunate aspect of this is that a big part of the problem is the coaching, not the players' effort. I wonder what Bo Davis and Oscar Giles think of Manny's schemes.
1) Melton is right. 2) Melton should know embarrassing - he was one himself as a RB. a) Trying to "Cadillac" it in from the 1 at the Horseshoe and failing. b) Failing to pick up a yard on 4th and 1 in the 12-7 loss to aTm.
I take it from Henry's "tweetings", I hate that effing twitter, that he won't be the former Longhorn player for the motivational speech before the blowU game. Yeah, I guess Henry must not have been able to stop 2 nosebleeds on critical running plays against OSU and aggy, as previous posted.
Maybe as a former Horn and current NFL player, he has a pretty good idea that this tweet will have the effect of pissing off the D and firing them up. You know, bulletin board material. Or maybe he's just an a-hole. I'm hoping it's the former.
