What if we beat Baylor. Beat Kansas, find a way vs. TCU, Iowa St. to win. Sitting with 2 losses facing K State.
Will fans get back on the wagon?
    What if we show improvement?

I have not sold my stock yet

Then it would be a whole lot like 2000-2004.

Sure we will be back. And if Mack is HC after the bowl game, I'm gone. I haven't missed a home game in years and I'm skipping Baylor and all others save TCU only because I'll be in austin for thanksgiving. I haven't missed an OU game since elementary school, but there's no way I show up in '13 if Mack is at helm. I'm just not going to invest $ and energy in Mack led teams.

Throw in a win against Kansas State and then we
    will talk.

Of course I'll follow the Horns, but not as invested. I can't trust Mack. Like an addict that keeps promising to get better, to stop the old destructive behavior, but never really does. So there has been a gradual loss of faith with Mack. The last painful straw was this past Saturday. More like a dagger in the heart than a straw.

Getting the holy hell beat out of you by your arch rival time after time gets to you. Unless you're an enabler, then you just make excuses and keep up the same old stuff.

    I am not an enabler.

...........and Mack thinks they can go 10 and 2 this season? I wish, but I can see me wishing I was back in Vietnam before that comes true.

Not so fast my friend... I have not and will never sell my stock in the Texas Longhorns. BUT, until further notice, I am very pessimistic about the rest of the season - memories of that painful 2010 season are still fresh with me. With the possible exception of KU, everyone on the remainder of the schedule is going to be a challange for this team. I hope I am wrong and this team comes out and just tears up the rest of the teams on the schedule... we will see.

I think we have a very realistic chance of beating BU, Tech, ISU, KU, and TCU. They all have flaws like we do. But I'm not going to pin my hopes on going undefeated against all of them in order to save Mack's job.

I think it's likely that we go 4-1 against them (loss to either Tech or BU), get blown out by KSU in Manhattan (payback for their poor showing last year in Austin), and then pay Mack's $3.95 million buyout before the bowl game. Major gets to be the interim HC for the Insight Bowl against Michigan State.

What if Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the Mud Dogs won the Bourbon Bowl?

What if Wednesdays were Saturdays, and Saturdays Wednesdays? Would you still want weekends off?

I dont understand. Why are we fair weather fans cause we are sick of what we are seeing on the field? Yes, every team has bad times. But I think what everyone wants to see is improvement and some fight. That starts at the top. It aint happening. How long would your company hold on to someone if they performed like that and still pay 'em $5mil.

Since I do contribute, buy merchandise, tickets, ect..., I feel I do. If the money stopped, would he continue to get paid? I bet you help pay his salary too. Getting your moneys worth?

What I pay I consider a gift, a donation. It doesn't all go towards coaches salaries anyway and you have no say in what they're paid, nor do I. I would still expect to win if they were paid minimum wage.
