FireRC, I would drop LSU, Florida, and Georgia to the good category. LSU and Florida can't pass the ball worth a flip and Georgia has done nothing special. Really only Bama and Kansas St belongs in the very good category. I still think Bama is overrated because their passing game isn't much better. But they have the champion mentality which goes a long way. Texas destroyed Ole Miss and Bama and Aggies was in a dog fight. We aren't close to being the best team in the Big 12. Oh and Ole Miss was pretty fired up playing Texas.
Because if anything has ever been proven beyond a doubt in college football it's that the transitive property is always accurate.
A 14 team league is going to have, on average, more bad teams than a 10 team league. And more good teams, and more mediocre ones.

i would venture to say that the notion of "intensity" is a bit overrated. coaches prepare their team the same way regardless of opponent. players know that sleepwalking through any game is a recipe for a loss.
