Here is the map. Note that most large cities in Texas have a majority for Obama. So how did Romney win? Is Texas rural population bigger than its urban population? Or are the margins that much different between urban and rural to be the difference? I imagine city folk are better educated than country folk. I guess now I know why the republicans don't want to spend any money on education; its simply not in their best interest.
Or maybe country folks are better at math than urban folks. Spending 6 trillion dollars that we do not have is irresponsible. I know. Its all Bush's fault. Now what was Obama's plan to fix it? How did his budget do in a democrat controlled senate?
It's a lot more complicated than city v. country. Obama won Dallas, Travis, Harris, and Bexar Counties, but it wasn't a blowout except in Travis. Romney did well enough in those counties to get a lot of votes from them. He more than nullified Travis by resoundingly winning Tarrant. He balanced out the difference in Dallas, Bexar, and Harris by winning and usually dominating Obama in the suburban counties like Collin, Denton, Williamson, Rockwall, Montgomery, and Fort Bend, (which are better educated than the urban counties) as well as in the country. The Democrats' total concession of the rural and suburban communities is truly amazing. I know the Democrats' rap - it's just racism. They just didn't like that Obama was black. That would hold water, except that I don't remember John Kerry winning many of those areas either. In fact, he might done even worse in some of them.
Obama won by blowouts in El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley. Meet the future demographics of Texas. It could happen now if Latinos would vote more.

The worst school districts in this state are pretty much all the ones mentioned that Obama won in Texas. Who is better educated? You really need to pull some more **** out of your ***.
It's pretty worthless exercise to examine people by their geographic location. Let's see, urban Dallas folks include some untalented, uneducated folks on the government dole and some of the brightest, most sophisticated and successful folks in the world. I've met terrific folks in every place in Texas I've visited. Some of 'em vote like me and some vote differently. Let's get creative and find something that unites us to do better for ourselves, our state and our country.
In Harris County BO won by 585 votes when over 1.1 million votes were cast. I guess all the sheep f**k, uneducated masses slipped past the black panther thugs and voted.
