The NCAA will stir on it for a while, then nothing will come of it........like usual.

Seriously, Catholic, my sources tell me that it's really bad this time. I have it from a high ranking official inside the SEC offices that a large number of players are going to be forced to go sit out as many as every HALF-time for the rest of the season

Interesting that you're lableling this as an SEC problem while SI.com is in the middle of a 5 part series talking about Oklahoma states transgressions.

If an agent is paying a player how does the school benefit?

Just as an aside on this, Thayer Evans co-wrote the story and he is known as a HUGE OU homer. Look up the article written by Jason Whitlock about this very piece. He rips Thayer like Brian Jones ripped Mack.

But I agree that cherry picking on the SEC and ignoring OSU (it's all accusations) is a sign of a biased mind.

ESPN will swing their big dick and pressure the NCAA into overlooking the SEC transgressions; no way they're going to let their multimillion dollar SEC baby be harmed badly. A few scholarship losses a possibility, but tv or bowl / playoff game bans? Hell no. Re Johnny Autographs quick and weak "punishment."

However, much like tOSU, tUSC, and even Montana, Okie Lite of the lowly B12 will pay a price.

You've got to have thugs. Look at Colorado (early 90s), Nebraska (mid-late 90s), Miami (80s,90s), etc. All programs that were average before their coaching staff made a concerted effort to recruit players literally out of jail. They used to joke that McCartney would bail his players out of jail Saturday morning to make the afternoon Colorado game. aggy is kinda thuggish now based on the actions/attitudes of their nfl players. These thugs aren't playing for free.

And OU cheated and got caught doing a pay for work scheme
And OSU is on the front of SI.com
And BU had their entire non con basketball schedule cancelled

    It happens everywhere.

DKR was asked about having guys (thugs) like that on the team. He said "to win championships you have to have a few guys on the team that you cant take out in polite society."
