I can easily see Alabama as number 2 in this BCS nonsense. Something tells me we are about to see a SEC rematch game for the national championship. Fitting end to a crappy, biased system.

I say NO, but i'll make this prediction... Auburn will vault past OSU and play FSU for the championship. If not this week, then next after they beat Mizz (assuming they beat aggy and OSU beats MSU).

If tOSU and Florida St go undefeated, they should play for the NC. If not, every conference, minus the $ec, should tell the NCAA to f*#k off and start their own association. Yes, I'm dead serious.

After tOSU's resounding victory today there is no way they should not jump to number one. Damn I wish the Michigan QB would have released that pass about 1/8 of a second sooner. Could have had Florida State and Northern Illinois in the BCS championship.

Bama will fall to 4 behind FSU at solid number 1, tOSU and very precarious number 2, and Auburn at 3.

I fully expect Auburn to leapfrog tOSU next week, especially if they get a number 5 ranked Mizzou team.

I believe Bama and Auburn should swap places this week, but FWHorn is probably right about how it plays out ...if Mizzou beats A&M tonight.

Though a one loss Auburn may very well be the better team. They will not leap an undefeated tOSU. Voters, especially coaches, won't do that. They put a lot of value in going undefeated.

Most likely scenario will avoid this by having Michigan State beat tOSU.

    If Missouri wins tonight...

    #1 FSU
    #2 Auburn
    #3 Missouri
    #4 Alabama
    #5 Ohio State

    Here's a monkey wrench:

Mizzou or SC beats Auburn and Michigan State beats OSU next weekend. Who plays FSU? Please don't tell me that it would be Bama. (Hopefully it would be MSU, with folks like Stanford, Oregon and Baylor crying in their soup.)

I think the only thing that will keep FSU from winning it all is the State Attorney’s Office.

This would be a great year to have 4 teams in the hunt. TOSU and Bama look to me like worthy NC competitors. FSU should be #1 and the winner of Auburn-Missouri clearly deserves a shot.

I hear some complaints about TOSU since it barely beat Michigan. But when we look at the Auburn season we had close calls against Georgia, Texas A&M, Bama, and Mississippi, along with getting hammered by LSU. Washinigton State, a bottom dwellling PAC 10 team was the only notable non-conference win and that was hardly a blow out. OSU blew out Penn State, victor over Wisconsin, and will close out against a good Michigan State team.

^ Exactly. Except for 1995 Nebraska everybody has a close game or two along the way.
