I have a feeling the Texas D is going to contain this guy pretty well on Saturday.

By contain I mean twist his **** sideways. Ask Quandre.

I think you're right. Strong makes it sound very simple, too. If you have the dive back on the zone read, stay on him. If you have the qb, stay on him.

Gotta get off blocks. Against NT, we just destroyed their OLine. Assuming we do that again and I think we can, BYU is in for a rude awakening. They'll do some reverse action crap early to try and get us over committed. Just stay in your lanes, work off blocks, and knock the SOB to the ground.

Since I already started a thread with the exact same title, I'll just cut & paste from there. [IMG]

Taysom Hill rushed for 92 yards and 2 TDs against UConn on Saturday. Hopefully the lack of missed tackles we saw against UNT was a sign of things to come for the Texas defense; Hill may not be as otherworldly as we made him look last year but he's pretty good.

Oops, Stat. My bad on the title.

You’re right, he’s a good QB for sure. I just want to see the scales balanced a little this year, ifyouknowwhatImean.

I watched their game last week, was not real impressed. Horns will win 24-10.

We will not completely shutdown Hill like we completely shut down UNT. I think he is good enough that no defense will ever completely shut him down. He will always score at least once or twice. That being said, I think we shut down the BYU offense for most of the game. I say BYU's offense scores between 0 - 17 points maximum. I'll go ahead and predict we hold them to 10, though I would not be surprised if we hold them to less. I expect our defense to give BYU their worst offensive performance of the season.

The question is, does our offense score enough to win? I have no idea or prediction for that. I do not think anyone really knows whether we will outscore them or not. I hope I am pleasantly surprised Saturday night.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

The Texas D was humiliated & embarrassed last year - they have been hearing about how bad they played since the minute the BYU game ended last season. They remember they gave up the most yards any TEXAS D ever given up AND they lost their D Coordinator a few hours after the game.

Coach Strong has used the BYU game last year as a motivational tool. I suspect THIS GAME has been circled on most everyone's calendar (although none will admit to it). During the presser Diggs was very composed and restrained from saying much about the game last year or the revenge factor, but it is clear to me it is there.

I think the TEXAS DEFENSE is going to bring serious wood to Taysom & the BYU offense on Sat. !!

This should be fun to watch! [IMG]
