Glad Horns are still in the picture. Nancy has drawn the attention of some big time programs. From her twitter post: @mulkeynancy this is my Top 15, in alphabetical order. I would like to thank all of the coaches that have recruited me. pic.twitter.com/efuN5IrVXm Baylor Duke Georgia Kansas State Louisville LSU North Carolina Norte Dame Oregon Southern Cal South Carolina TCU Texas Texas Tech UConn
Fifteen is a lot, but from her list it looks like she has some very good options to choose from with respect to both education and basketball. I am just happy to see Texas on her list.
Texas doesn't make Mulkey's top 10 (Baylor, UCONN, Duke, Georgia, TCU, North Carolina, Louisville, Notre Dame, USC, OU).
Odd that OU didn't make her Top 15, but makes her cut to 10 schools. Mulkey attended several Longhorn games, and our staff attended hers, so there was obviously mutual interest. Whether that resulted in an official scholarship offer is anyone's guess. The recent commitment from 2015 6'4 Christina Aborowa may have had an impact numbers-wise (if she is going to play Center in college, although I believe Aborowa was listed by one service as a forward). Then, for 2017 we have 6'4 Charli Collier coming in to play Center. The class of 2016 is very talented, especially at guard and forward. We may have 3 or 4 openings, and it sure seems as if Cox and Holmes are the main targets. Hope we can sign at least one of them.
Moo, don't forget that Aborowa has a 2016 teammate that is also 6-9 and ranked right there with Mulkey. Wonder if that also impacted her decision?
Nothing against the young lady but other than being tall I didn't really see Much athleticism from her. Give me a 6'4" post who is athletic over that any day. Like a Shawn Bradley type not like a griner type. Such a waste of height.
