If ISU was just a little better team, we'd be looking at a 21 pt deficit easily.

No pressure at all by our D line. ISU QB sits back and surveys the field twice.

No reason not to go for it they have no reason to fear our offense.

    First half summary:
    Their O line >>> Our D line
    Their D line >>> Our O line
    J. Heard :brickwall:
Entire Texas team = no energy, not initiating contact, going through the motions
Good news: We aren't getting blown out, and we should be if we were playing anyone worth a sh*t.

We should count our blessings that it's only 10-0. We sucked that first half. If we don't make changes at half, including an attitude adjustment, we lose and lose ugly.

Have to say only inadequacies of ISU are keeping this from being a blow out half. We really look low level performers.

With the drop pic 6, we should be down 21 - 0. Have to make changes at half time.

Respectfully disagree. ISU's offense has stopped themselves most drives. Our D has been a sieve.

We now 0 points in the first halves of road games this year, and 0 TDs in the first 55 minutes of road games.

If Charlie starts Heard in the 2nd half hang it up

This effort is embarrassing. Strong should not be retained if this continues.

Um, they play ou on Nov. 7, but don't let that fact get in the way of your transitive property football analysis.

This really is a must-win game in terms of program progression. Dropping this game to Iowa State would be a major set-back. Don't think it's "fire Charlie" worthy, but it certainly doesn't help his cause if he's trying to gain supporters after the beginning of the year debacle.

My only question is...HOW THE HELL DID WE BEAT OU ???? I see us going 4-8 at best. Watching this crap, I can't understand why we would keep Charlie.....unless he fires his staff and hires coaches who can coach these kids up. This game plan sucks ***, and defensive technique is worse than when Gary Darnell coached our team.

This game may define Strong's future. Lose this one and doubtful he's coming back. He needs to win the next 2 weeks and at least one more to have a prayer to come back. He better coach like his *** is on the line.

Not trying to take up for Charlie, but it's only the first half. Let's see if he and his staff can gets the team's collective head screwed on straight, make the necessary changes, and come out with some fire in the second half.

I can live with our quarterback play because Heard is still developing (guess he's not Kyler Murray) but it's the line play on both sides of the ball and J Gray's disappointing vision that I have a problem with. Just sayin'.

I'm baffled by our inability to adjust the offense to accomplish...anything. It's not like we are playing the 85 Bears. This level of ineptitude is inexcusable.

I have to guess that Foreman is hurt, which is a problem. I would be playing Warren and not Gray who, again, cannot find the holes and cannot break any tackles. Charlie obviously has a soft spot for #32, I'd like to see someone like DeAndre McNeal out there.

On D, where has #46 been? They have completely neutralized him so far. I am also bothered by the missed sacks. We are blitzing all the time but missing tackles...

OU game was fixed. stoops wanted Charlie to stay. Hence the nice words by him and the UO players in pressed after the game.
No I don't know this but after this first half how else can you explain our victory over such a vastly superior team?
