We point out BO's failures often enough it is only fair we point put when he receives deserved accolades. So we rise above ideological politics and recognize when he earns something it should be noted. The Link andThe Link Well deserved Obama.
So Obama goes to a funeral (Shimon Peres) Gives the eulogy What do you suppose he talked about? * * * If you said himself, then you know him too well 'I could somehow see myself in his story' Of course you did http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/obama-on-shimon-peres-funeral-service-228939
Did he give the black power salute afterwards, like he did at the White House gathering for the Olympians?
I watched the video... didn't see him give any salute. During or afterwards. He mentioned Smith and Carlos and pointed out that their salute woke folks up and created other protest opportunities for those who followed. But it was a fairly short moment compared to the amount of time he spent talking about how female American athletes dominated the 2016 games.
Did you even watch it with sound?? You're either deaf or void of any sort of context if you think he was doing the "Black Power Salute" there. "Mr. President, thank you so much for inviting all of Team USA into your house, especially the USPNT... the soccer players back there all looking good..." White dudes raise their hands up and yell "woo!" to which he also raises his hand up. You REALLY think that was a black power thing?
You caught me, I didn't spend 20 minutes listening to that drivel. I heard from a radio talk show host that I trust, that he did in fact give the black power salute at that event. I just scanned through your vid looking for it.
Are you sure the host wasn't talking about when he was referring to Smith and Carlos? I could see why conservative radio hosts would be upset that Obama is giving credence to a racially-instigating and symbolic protest from 48 years ago. But if he just flippantly stated that Obama gave the Black Power salute to the audience, then it begs some credibility issues.
