That should be...dude wins the vote, beats up reporter and then gets charged.

He had this race in the bag from early voting. Your implication that people didn't care that he body slammed a reporter or even supported him for doing so, is a substantial stretch.

The polls showed that the dude had a 14% advantage heading into the election. He won by 7% with already 30% of vote counted before the incident. Clearly the incident had some impact but the early voting likely was his lone saving grace.

Sadly, aside from apologizing to the reporter he should also have apologized for lying to voters about the incident. This is the character some are celebrating?

That's a somewhat dyslexic looking timeline.
Look, a Dem won Governor on the same ballot (a fact that nukes your early voting excuse)(always with the excuses you guys are)
Another inconvenient fact for you is that the both natl Dems and the media thought they had a good shot at this one. How do we know this? Because, if they didnt, they would never have paid any attention to this election at all. But just like the specials in Kansas and Georgia, they got their hopes crushed. Just like the 2016 national. It's pretty embarrassing for them if you think about it, they got their butts kicked on all fronts, even literally.

In fact, I am willing to bet that this incident with the liberal media helped Gianforte more than it hurt him. Why? Because right now the American people's trust in their media is at an all-time low. Americans hate the media. I am also willing to bet that there are millions of Americans who wish they had the same chance to kick the media's butt. Why? i think its because Americans hate liars and frauds. But maybe you have a better guess.

    Governing is hard.

What's missing in this tweet is that the Republicans can't really get aligned.

yes. that was the point. you appeared to be advancing the idea that he gained support by physically assaulting this reporter. I think you are way off base. Had this happened 3 weeks earlier, I think you would have seen a much larger negative impact. This action happened after many had already voted and many didn't hear about it until after the election.

While the general media may be deeply (and rightly) loathed by much of America right now, I think your insinuation that people supported this act is (and should be) wrong.

I don't buy your argument that a Dem winning as governor nukes my argument. Gianforte won a seat that's been held by a Rep for 20 years, had just run a race for Governor and had a big lead going in. The gov was a sitting gov and had the incumbent advantage. The 'W's' were expected for both parties. His accosting a reporter didn't help him, no matter how much the public dislikes the media right now.

That's quite funny if I take your meaning correctly. I have voted GOP in every race for the last 25 years...BUT I don't put my ruby red GOP glasses on and excuse every idiotic thing a republican ever does just so I can claim my GOP bon fides.

No matter how much we dislike the media right now, it's not justifiable to accost them.

Kathy Griffin = one of many faces that's now the Democratic Party.

They say and do the most crazy things. They want to cut Trump's head off, blow up the White House. That party has lost complete control. You would think losing election after election at the federal, State, and local level over the past several years would make them stop and think instead of doubling down on stupid.

I could care less about a rodeo clown but clearly Kathy Griffin is looking for some shock value attention. Why give it to her?

The left is equally as upset at Kathy Griffin. Here is the most prescient response I think.

Word is that the Border Wall contractor finalists will meet with Trump Admins in mid-June in one of the border states to show their mock-up designs

This was Trump back on May 13

“Hundreds of companies initially submitted designs for the wall to the Department of Homeland Security. That list is about to be narrowed down to a handful of finalists and each will build a prototype near the border here in Southern California. One company in the running is DarkPulse Technologies, which wants to combine a physical barrier with detection fibers both in and underneath the wall.”

If an 11yr old thought it was "real" than Rosie O'Donnel may be prescient. It was absolutely wrong of KG and she deserves to be ostracized by media and Hollywood but this story is either contrived or Barron is special.

After comparing the head of Don John with Griffin's, I must say that the Pres still looks better than her.

Really, Griffin is now a Democratic Party face? And Madonna?? Seriously, these two are entertainers that made their bones by being outlandish and shocking. This is their shtick. They may be liberal but I wouldn't call them faces of the Democratic Party.

They should be called out for it and castigated roundly, but to tie these people around the neck of the Democratic Party is a stretch.

I call BS on this. That head is so covered with red crap that you couldn't tie it to anyone unless you were sophisticated enough to appreciate who Griffin is and what her policies might be. If you're that sophisticated, then you aren't likely to believe it was real.

If he's special (which I think he kind of is) then so be it. But either way, we wouldn't be talking about this if it never happened in the first place.

Yes I stand by that those are the new faces of that party. It's been taken over by many people just like them. I could call many more names if you want. There's no end to the cra cra of those liberals. The media has also played a huge part in forming the craziness of that party. So the few elected officials they have left have doubled down on stupidity. They haven't learn a damn thing with all those losses of the past elections.
