Kevin Sumlin has been put on notice by the athletic director Scott Woodward for his record of falling off the last half of the season.
The second-year AD said as much Tuesday on "The Paul Finebaum Show."

"Coach Sumlin knows he has to win. He has to win this year. He has to do better than he has done in the past." " We are extremely disappointed about the past four seasons and must do better. The coach knows that."

So, now he's on ..... double secret probation?

Sounds like the AD decided it was time that someone put his foot down, and that foot is HIM!!!

So can A&M move the Sam Houston State and directional Louisiana games to the second half of the season?

So basically Aggy is sick and tired of doing what they've been doing since the late 1800s?

Nothing helps recruiting like a dumbass AD running his mouth to the media about giving the HC an ultimatum.

"Coach Fedora, there's a Mr Woodward on line 1"

The professionals in the Texas A&M Athletic Department are among the finest anywhere and also they are SEC so what else do you need to know

You sips have it all wrong. Its the SEC who has been put on notice. Now that Foghorn Leghorn has reminded Sumlin that he is supposed to win, there is no stopping aggy juggernaut.

Now that we have Herman they want Sumlin gone. I'm sure they think they can get anyone from Saban to Urban to Knute. They're setting the stage to cut Sumlin. They would have let him go last year, perhaps year before, if Aggy credit card wasn't maxed out.

In defending his record, Stumblin should point out that aggy won their spring game so they're already 1-0 and of course aggy always wins halftime!

As long as aggy has to play Alabama and LSU that is two all but guaranteed losses (which also means no $EC West Championship). Then usually one to three losses between Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi aggy). On top of that Muschamp will give them fits at USC (which is their designated rivalry game).

It continues to amaze me how Aggie claims that they "fall off" at the end of the year as they start so strong. My company is 85% Aggie so I've heard this every year since they joined the SEC.
Hey Einstiens, you play an absolutely horribly easy schedule for your first five games -as you might play one D1 school during that time frame.
You don't then suddenly get tired Leg, or fall off mentally, you just play D1 opponents and you get your asses handed to you the second half.
    Saber great post .

ULLA with Bobbie Booshaey a W
ARK at Jerry World ok give you that W
    S CAROLINA W maybe
So riding high 4-1 and ranked 15-20

Then, oh my god Algae Crumpler...
BAMA, FLA, Miss St, AUB and we're 4-5 headed to play New Mexico
unranked and melancholy. What happened we looked soooo good in sept/oct?????
Maybe beat Ole miss, then embarrassed by LSU
    2018 repeat.

    NR,

I'm not sure the Aggies will beat r-Kansas and/or South Carolina. Ole Miss, Mississippi Cow College, and Alabama Normal School for Women are all in turmoil, so they are each winnable and possible candidates for embarrassing Sumlin. I think the Aggies' season depends a great deal on when the players quit on Sumlin, IF they ever start.

aggy should drop the collie and adopt a groundhog as their mascot since it is the same every year.

    at UCLA - L
    Nichols St.- W
    ULL - W
    SC - W
    *Ark - W (Jerry World)
    Bama - L
    at Florida - L
    MSU - W
    at Ole Miss - L
    New Mex. - W
    Auburn - W
    LSU - L

How did these turkeys manage to schedule 8 home games!?

I'm thinking something like a 7-5 season with that schedule (could be worse) with 4-4 in the SEC (could be worse).

Prolly not enough to save Stumblin if he truly is on the hot seat....

WM is on the right track. The only one I would question is UCLA. They have haven't had a smooth offseason, and all of my associates who graduated from there are bracing for 7 or more losses.

Then will be battling Mississippi aggy for last in the $EC West all season.

When you pencil in three gimmes every year, it becomes a lot easier. No one's expecting a home and home with New Mexico, let alone Nichols St. and Louisiana-Laugh.

Aggies only have 3 games on the road at the other team's stadium the whole year out of 12. At UCLA, at Florida, and at Ole Miss. Pathetic!

To be fair, a lot of that is the SEC influence. The league makes a concerted effort to get its teams to schedule soft. Aggie has never exactly stacked their schedule, but since moving to the SEC they've moved into Baylor territory.
