Been on the road and missed the game. Looking at a recap, looks like we crapped the bed today against Arky.

Well that was certainly a kick in the nards..........my view is this team even making the CWS was a bonus and hopefully this will help Pierce with the recruiting. Lets beat the Gators and then let the chips fall where they may. Hook em!

Gottohmighty that was ugly. We went thru 5 pitchers in the 6th before we recorded an out. Our on-again, off-again pitching staff went severely off-again at a really bad time. Gotta pull it together for Tuesday or we will be 2 and a bbq.

Maybe our pitchers were intimidated by their line-up which resulted in throwing for the corners. They aren't good enough to paint the lines I guess.

Now No.1 Florida. It doesn’t get easier.

Glad Tech beat them though. I didn’t want my Aggy buddies crowing too much about the sec, sec, sec.

Just say “SEC? SEC! 8-3!” or remind them their mighty SEC ags got beat by Indiana.

Regardless of yesterday's game and maybe going 0-2 and BBQ, I actually feel pretty good. Considering I had absolutely no expectations of winning a regional or SR in my mind we significantly overachieved. Now with some momentum DP can go recruit hitters like arky, gaytors and both TT's.

When the majority of our lineup is hitting over .300 then we can talk about winning another championship.

We hit around .200 in the regionals and super regional. It was our pitching that carried us, and pitching dropped us in the grease last night. They've been up and down all year.

Having said that, what was unusual about last night was that most of the hitting came from the bottom of the lineup. If spots 1-4 could have produced more than 2 total hits, we might still have had a shot.

The botched double play was a killer, but in any case I don't think it was going to be our day to win anyway

Spot on RH!! I looked back at 2005....we had 7 players hit .300+ and team season average was .302. We’ll see how this turns out, but anyone who followed this team closely must accept the reality that our bats would doom us. Even coach Gus predicted we would not go far with this offense. But, I’m with you....I think Texas baseball is back & very encouraged about the future. I’d say coach Pierce more than earned his paycheck this season. :hookem:

Other than losing to people you used to own, Texas is playing with house money. The plus will be if one or two of the drafted pitchers decide winning a CWS Championship is better than a bus ride in the middle of the night between the east end of nowhere to a$$ end of of the country.

Best part of that Tceh game, other than Floriduh and the SEC-SEC-SEC going down, was having parlayed Tceh and the under. Payout was nice. Made up for missing the deadline on the Texas game, which had I been five minutes earlier, would have cost me dearly.
