Here's the big question; will he report? The rumors are that he doesn't want to play for Toronto. Does that only mean he won't resign with them or that he is going to try to force a trade?

I think the Spurs landed on their feet pretty well given that Kawhi appears to have meant what he said. Of course, it may be that the Spurs put themselves into this position to begin with. We may never know. The injury is the big mystery. Lot's of smoke about his Uncle trying to build a marketing empire with Kawhi as his crown jewel. Did he convince Kawhi to trust him and force the move?

But now Toronto is under more pressure than the Spurs. The Spurs stood to lose Kawhi for nothing (like Cleveland and OKC did with LeBron and Durant respectively) and came out of it with a really good player. Now Toronto stands to lose DeRozan and Kawhi. I don't get it. Nobody is going to beat Golden State. Toronto won 59 games with the DeRozan and the brick wall in front of them is no longer in the conference (LeBron). Boston appears to be quite formidable along with Philly but this apparent attempt to go all in on the 2018-2019 season with Golden State looming doesn't register with me.
