Sessions was not 100% bad. For example, he was good on illegal immigration - he increased the number of judges and prosecutors, and he increased the rejection numbers on asylum seekers. He sued Calif over their Sanctuary State Law. He ended DACA.

But yeah, there is no reason an AG could not accomplish this and more.

And, oh look, Mitt Romey is already making himself an insufferable bore and he has not even taken office

More importantly Whitaker can't recuse himself from being involved in these investigations. He needs to be front and center holding people accountable, if they get off track. Maybe that is not the AGs job. I don't know.

It won't matter, multiple investigations are about to get started up in a few months.

    4th_floor Dude, where's my laptop?

Sessions was better than Eric Holder. A dead AG would also be better than Holder. When you look at the total picture, including the continued corruption and liberal activism inside the DOJ, it's not clear if Sessions is much better than a dead AG. Maybe he's brain dead. That could explain a lot.

Agree. Overall he was disappointing. And I admit I thought he would be good going in. And he was very good in helping Trump get his campaign pointed in the right direction. But as soon as he recused himself, I changed my mind.
Here I was just pointing out he did accomplish a handful of items.

LOL - of course he did!
Is the explanation for why he refused to do anything about the Hillster's behavior really this simple?

Flynn just caved to pressure. He weighed the risk vs reward of opposing Mueller and decided it was better to plea regardless of anything about Trump.

Has the Left made up its mind on what they think of Jerome Corsi yet?
They used to say "he is is a complete liar"
Now it's "if he says anything anti-Trump, he must be taken completely seriously"

Yes, once the SP has you in his sights, its over. Even if you did nothing wrong, they will drive you into bankruptcy. And they will go after your children too, threaten to ruin their lives. This is how Mueller got Flynn -- Mueller effectively said either he plead out or he would ruin his son's life. FWIW, I have personally seen this happen to a person I knew (the son was going to lose his law license). It's a tough call -- give them something, anything or you go broke defending yourself and maybe to the pokey.

Trump is still a relentless braggart, total narcissist, sleazy businessman and clueless in terms of how governments have to be run. Which is why you guys like him I guess.

You can start shouting me down now.

But keep in mind that the fact that Hillary was slime does not mean Trump is not.

I dont remember anyone shouting at you
I do remember you being challenged to provide facts to support your theories. Is this considered being "shouted down" in leftyville?

He cut taxes, actually the Legislature. That's great.

He hired an EPA leader to reduce its size. That is great.

He tried to change foreign policy, but the deep state has blocked him. Good try.

    I appreciate the good things.

I have to provide evidence that President Bonespurs is a braggart? Or a narcissist?

The tax cuts have been number one on the to do list for Republicans since the last time they breathed. Giving him credit is akin to crediting Obama for Pelosicare

What other evidence do people need that Trump is a braggart? The thing is, it doesn't matter.

The tax cuts, I gave credit to the Legislature. Trump of course signed it into law. He was into it. He wasn't into cutting spending though. Boo.

So Mueller coerced Corsi, who is 72, into undergoing "regressive memory therapy techniques" during their interrogation of him.

They sought to force him to "remember" a meeting with "Russians!" in Italy that Corsi was adamant never happened

Wow, not testifying means there is a chance he would implicate himself or one of his friends.

Comey's unwillingness to testify in private is yet another odd twist.
He says he fears "selective leaking" by congresspersons.
That's pretty rich considering he personally OKd selective leaking by McCabe, Strzok, Page and others

Clearly, there is some truth or truths, that he desperately does not want the American people to know about him. If we were talking about his behavior and actions as a private citizen, then I would actually agree with him. But that is not what we are talking about. Here, we are interested only in his actions as a public servant. He has nothing to hide behind with regard to this. It should all be open, with certain limited exceptions pertaining to national security.
