UTEP quarterback Kai Locksley arrested

Locksley was arrested Saturday after being pulled over for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces), unlawful carrying of a weapon and making terroristic threats, according to jail records.

Locksley was a star recruit out of high school, eventually committing to Texas. But he admitted to the Des Moines Register in 2017 that off-the-field issues led to his departure from the program.

 

Well i hope he gets life figured out before it’s too late.

 

^Agree - he's still a young man and has a lot ahead of him. Don't want to see any young folks ruin their lives because of poor choices.

 

Crap. That just sucks.

 

I met him when he was still here and thought highly of him. Seemed very well put together so I find this very surprising and disappointing. Hoping for the best.

Damn, I'm from EP and the Miners are my underdog team. Was hoping for them to make some strides with him at QB.

Same here Shil, wasn’t born there but grew up there (off and on, Dad was Army) and went to UTEP. Still think fondly of EP.
