Great effort by McGee. However, if he hasn't already he will soon be called in and reminded that ESPN spends a lot of money on the $EC Network, and they are not happy with that rating.

Not to worry. The losses by USC, Mizzoo, Ark and Tenn will be a reminder that all teams in the western division should be in the top 10

Interesting that Umass is in the bottom for losing to B1G 10 Rutgers.

I wish the Miners could have a little success. Beautiful city, great little stadium. They have also been making some great upgrades to their campus and faculty. Natalicio did a great job there.
Growing up in El Paso, Miner basketball was great fun. The football has never been very bueno tho. It would take a very special ind of coach (like Haskins - or a Snyder type) who is overqualified to coach there but dedicated to the school

Indeed. Actually back in the 60’s UTEP was pretty good on the football side. Billy Stevens and Bullet Bob Hayes, and that linebacker I can’t remember right now, made for an exciting season(s).

Bullet Bob Hayes went to “the black harvard” not UTEP

The Miners are still suffering the effects of hiring OA Phillips.

Good list UB, keep 'em coming each week.

Calling Tenn. "Rocky Slop" made me :lmao:

Yup, it was not a good week for the SEC, SEC:

Mizzou, Tenn, SC, Old Miss, all lost and Arky & KY barely won...

aggy should have been embarrassed to have scheduled and played Southwest Texas State Teachers College.... errr, I mean Texas State and only win 41-7.

Oops, sorry it was Bob Wallace not Bob Hayes. I can still remember the pass from Stevens in the last seconds to beat Utah.
And the LB was Fred Carr. We also had Chuck Hughes then, great receiver.
Yep, I’m old and have fond UTEP/Texas Western memories.
