I have heard recommendations of Vic & Anthonys, Smith & Wollesky's, Hugo Cellars. What else? How packed does S&W get?
Craftsteak at MGM Grand. Created by Tom Collichio(main judge on Top Chef). We go every time in Vegas. Was in Vegas mid-September and went and had the Kobe Beef Tasting Menu. I can not tell you how unbelievably good it was.
BTW, you can find Smith & Wollensky's anywhere. Same for Ruth Chris, etc. Hit one of the places that is a bit more exclusive. Another amazing steakhouse is Prime in Bellagio. Great steak but I find the restaurant itself a bit formal for my liking.
A third vote for Craftsteak, the Kobe there is off the chain! We went to Delmonico in July and it was good as well, but not as good as Craftsteak IMO.
Delmonicos was damn good. But I actually thought the steak at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant was better.
I was disappointed with Delmonico, from the foie gras to their meat to their wine selection. Maybe it was a bad night though.
I think S&W sucks everywhere, and in Vegas with all the other choices, terrible option in my opinion. Had my bachelor party dinner in a semi-private room at Nine Steakhouse at the Palms. Food was incredible, service was great, "talent" in the restaurant was outstanding.
Haven't been to Delmonnico's in a few years, but it is my favorite. I thought their wine list was great. Any place that has Ken Wright pinot noirs from Oregon is doing something right.
