At 1:15 p.m. I got a robocall saying the tech was on his way. He showed up around 5:15 p.m. to start work on the installation. I only missed about the last 30 minutes of the game. Thanks to the miracle of the interwebs, I was able to keep tabs on the game thru ESPN.com and thru the utterly impartial, objective, and insightful commentary on Hornfans.com. Well done, folks.

(The main thing is the job was done before next week's game which is on Fox, which along with FS1 and BTN is still being embargoed by DISH.)

I was scrambling with radio signals via internet all to no success thinking tv was going to be delayed. Pissed me off, not on my Sirius app, not on radionet, or whatever it was called I got so ticked I deleted. I kept trying after tv coverage came on because the announcers were so bad. I was willing to put up with Craig’s delay over those announcers but no success.

Is it ok to look forward to OU now? Does anyone know what time it is?

I may be ground zero for viewing challenges. I travel to Mexico often and my daughter doesn’t subscribe to Sky, Dish or anything else. She streams everything, which is great for entertainment but terrible for a Texas fan. She cannot stream ESPN live here.

Here’s the effort I have to go through to watch the games:

ESPN App - The content is blocked in Mexico*. Even when I connect to the internet via a VPN in the US, ESPN blocks the content. They know that I’m not in the US.

Cox (My cable company.) - Through their Contour app, I can often access content, But, yesterday ABC was blocked, even though ESPN was not.

Reddit - They now require that you subscribe and provide a credit card. Ain’t going there. At least not yet.

Spectrum in San Antonio - I can access Spectrum through their app but the content is blocked here.

The only way I can access the game is through an app that connects from anywhere in the world to my home computer in the US. Through that app, Splashtop, I connect and then broadcast the game on my home computer, and stream it through Splashtop to my iPad or iPhone. The problem is that the quality is inconsistent, often pixelated badly, and I frequently lose the link. So for the first half yesterday I was trying to watch but was also listening to Craig Way via Texassports.com...

Sports Bars - I don’t like them because of the noise and the fact that the broadcast is in Spanish.

    * As a result of some odd nuance, the ESPN app did work in the second half yesterday. Weird...

I can access my cable through the Uverse app except for local channels which is probably why you couldn't watch yesterday since it was on the local ABC channel.

Next week it is on Fox and you can stream it through their app via your cable account once you login it.

I hope somebody records the game and puts it on youtube because I probably will have to work and I can't record it because I have dish Network.

Thanks. But remember, access in Mexico is the issue. That said, last year I had success streaming with the Fox app. (But I also did with the ESPN app...last year.)

The good news for me is that I’ll be in the US next weekend.

I would think that logging on using Comcast would work in Mexico since every time I call them I have to speak with someone in Guadalajara.
