Barn burner going on so far. SF up 28-27 at the half. . . . Saints intercept ball and kick field goal to take lead early in second half. SF responds with TD drive to take 35-30 lead.

On a side note, the lowly Broncos with a newbie QB are destroying the Texans.

Saints doing well, but that decision to take the penalty on the extra point and going for 2 was bad. Kick the EP and then KO from midfield and pin them deep. That one point could be critical.

Another field goal for Saints after they got away with offensive pass interference. 2 point lead for SF. . . .

The rule on PI when there is a fake punt and a pass thrown, is really weird. Supposedly the SF DB was blocking the NO coverman and PI for some reasoning doesn't apply. But the Saints were claiming the infraction was holding, not PI, which I believe has merit and probably should have been called. Later, I plan to look this up and see what I can find.

Saints respond with TD drive to pull within 2 again. I don't know whether they can stop SF's offense, though. . . . Well, they held them to a field goal. Drew has one last chance. Needs a TD and has just two minutes to get it.

I should not have doubted him. But Saints score with 53 seconds left--too much time left for SF maybe? SF only needs a field goal. Whatever happens, this has been one helluva game. . . .Yep, Saints left them too much time. FG wins it for 49ers as time expires.
