I wish he would have stayed, and he’d be the odds-on favorite to start after Sam leaves, but I view his transfer more-or-less like Shane’s. There’s no (public) ill will and he’s not going around talking smack about us. Good luck to him.

It's been a while but didn't it come down to Rising not wanting to carry the ball as much as Herman wants the qb to run it? Regardless, I prescribe to that radical notion that it's entirely possible to part ways, remain friends, and wish the best for people that move out of your life. :hookem:

Both Shane and Thompson saw the field this year. Cameron did not unless he is in on New Year's Night.

Not even to Ty Jordan? Maybe Van Fillinger? I wonder if he hosted Peyton Powell?

Oh, I hope he gets in the game. I cannot wait until his former "friends" pound his weenie butt into the Alamodome turf. Welcome back, Mr. Rising.

It ain't like he is the second coming of Shepherd, who deserved the *** kicking he got on a few plays in Rice Stadium, including fumbling on his own goal line on his first play. Didn't help that 60,000 Texas fans were chanting "we want Shepherd".

That was a fun day. As we had been gifted two tickets that turned out to be in the UH student section, the fumble on his first play was right in front of us.....10,000 midnight's ago.

Javonne Shepherd? I missed that entirely in the Rice game.

I believe they're referencing Darrell Shepherd who was the '#1 QB in the state for rhe class of '77. He was committed to us but switched to Houston on NSD. It's a long story.

I was not following assiduously then, so thank you. Sounds like a big mound of nothing as I never heard of him.
