If Biden officially becomes President, Covid will go away in a year. The economy will rock, Harris will take credit for the booming economy.

As I posted, I heard the $12,000 from a CFO in a meeting in April.

That's for a hospital admit. The test is like $45. If that. But, sure stoke the fear. I agree not all hospital COVID admits need ICU. That's where the large cost is.

COVID positive can continue with N-95 and a surgical mask and a face shield in our environment.

I thought that we would not hear about COVID starting Nov 4th?

I didn’t say it was $12,000 for the positive test. It’s $12,000 for inpatient treatment which more than triples if they go on a vent.

They test every patient to assure that they don't need to put them in a covid wing. It's a screening.

Pneumonia is comparable to that and the costs go up considerably with a vent.

We'll have to agree to disagree sir. We both have data that reinforces our viewpoints. Yes "graph after graph" that shows counties with higher mask usage has lower infection rates. The fact that you say NONE simply demonstrates the information bubble you learn from.

The fact that wearing a mask to limit the spread of the virus suddenly stops people from being "human" and "liv[ing] life" is a sad statement. We share this planet together. Covid-19 has demonstrated over and over the extreme limitation of the libertarian viewpoint. It doesn't give a f**k whether you choose or choose not to avoid it. If you live a higher risk lifestyle (no mask, no social distancing, no precautions) you can and will catch it and will share it with other victims. Maybe you'll be very luck and not be impacted, maybe the Russian Roulette will even spare those around you but somewhere the N factor will impact the lives of others.

That's the thing that strikes me. If you are COVID positive, aren't all the precautions requiring a COVID wing more expensive? More PPE, potential ventilators, additional room sterilization, etc add additional costs to a normal hospital visit. Shouldn't COVID be more expensive, even if you test positive after being admitted for a car wreck?

The question at hand is whether hospitals are faking COVID test results. That's a pretty serious allegation and those making it should have proof.

How are normal people supposed to react to lockdown orders when clowns like this run cities?

i consider myself a libertarian. But i believe in masks. You have to clean them daily (or wash them). Clean your hands. Keep a good distance from people. It s your right not to wear a mask but its ******** that they don't work. Just ********.

:brickwall: YOU disagree with the group of scientists who are retracting their own study?
You think they had no right to withdraw what was a faulty conclusion?
    Amazing

I do not agree. Masks work. Period.
    If you wear them properly

So in addition to being the baddest of the bad you are a renown scientist who knows more than they who did the actual study and follow up do.

Thank you for remembering. I believe that masks work. A few scientists that do not agree with their initial data does not change the fact that masks work. Millions of doctors and scientists say masks work. I choice to believe reality.

:lmao: There are just as many that say they do not work. Look at how many times the narrative has changed on this one issue .
But you go right on in your little world and believe what you wish

@Horn6721 found a study in which the scientists recanted. That singular study is not enough????? You clearly must think you are smarter than those scientists.

This is like the climate science debate. It's 10:1 for effectiveness of masks being better than nothing yet some still go with the one. There are psychological reasons people do that which I won't go into here. In the end, a mask is better than nothing for us and those around us. Infections are spiking. Hospitalizations are spiking. Deaths are not spiking because we are more effective in treating it. Still, COVID-19 doesn't care your age, your race, your gender or political party. As Trump said, this is a "war" that we all need to fight. Wearing a mask is a pretty minor sacrifice compared to previous wars.

BTW I wear a mask when necessary. The point is there are scientists and docs on both sides of the issue. Neither one can be completely discounted.

Who does this? Do you change masks whenever you change venues? If you are shopping, do you change masks for every store? Why not? Don't you BELIEVE?

    4th_floor Dude, where's my laptop?

How do you use a mask?

Do you store your masks in a sterile environment? I don't. Mine is hanging either on my drying rack after washing or hanging from my rear view mirror.

Do you change masks after 2 hours of use or after each use? That means that if you take your mask off to eat or because you are alone in your office, you should put on a clean mask rather than the dirty used mask. I do not.

Do you change your mask when you change venues? If you come into your office to pick up materials and then go to meet a client, do you change masks? I do not.

Do you never touch your mask with unsterilized hands or gloves? I usually have to adjust my mask on my face if I wear it for more than a few minutes.

Do you use sterile disposable masks or masks washed according to medical procedures? Rarely. I do wash my masks in hot water with regular laundry soap about once per week. Then I hang them on a rack in my laundry room, where they start collecting germs.

Why do I use a mask if I don't use it correctly? I use it mostly because the government will use force against me or businesses I enter if I don't wear a mask. I also believe the mask will reduce transmission of my spittle, and could reduce the possibility that I will spread disease.

But consider this: Deaths from infections transmitted in hospitals consistently rank in the top 10 most common deaths in a hospital. That's with trained personnel cleaning, using PPE, HEPA filters, biowaste removal procedures, and etc. Even in that controlled environment, they are unable to prevent the spread of communicable disease.

But I will continue to wear a mask when I am required to do so. But I don't believe it is effectively protecting me.

I do change my mask daily. If I do go into different stores i spray my mask with alcohol between stores. And I sanitize my hands once I leave a store before getting into my truck.
