Since I am not going to be held accountable for my choice by university officials I can say that Art Briles would be the absolute best choice to make our program great again. And he would turn recruiting around. But since we know that there is zero chance that that would happen I wouldn't mind seeing Campbell or Fickell as long as we have a wide open offense.

If we were waiting on Fickel not sure that will excite anyone after todays cluster. If it’s Matt Campbell, Brian Kelly, does anyone really move the meter enough to justify 25 million in buyouts and the money for new staff. In my dreams it’s Dabo but that is a pipe dream.

Wait, didn't Herman end up 7-3? And, he sucks. So, the idea of replacing him would be to do so with a better coach. So, why does signing day matter? A better coach ought to be able to go 9-1 with the same players.

 

I think I have changed my mind about Fickell. For one thing he is a little too stoic for my taste. And it seems he made a bad decision in today's game and it cost them.

Regarding the tOSU spanking of Clemson last night, I wonder if or how that affects Meyer’s psyche. Clearly he is no longer needed at the school...?

 

I doubt aOSU was never going to eat crow and bring him back as HC. In fact, they probably plan on jettisoning him from his AD Office role job as soon as they can.

 

What’s Swinney without Trevor Lawrence or Deshon Watson...? Chizik without Cam Newton? Oregonwrong without Burrow?

With the exception of Chizik, they are voracious recruiters. I also believe that Sweeney is a pretty good HC. Orgeron seems like a dumb***.

 

Dabo has two five star quarterbacks waiting behind Lawrence and has had top five recruiting class every year for about the past half decade, Losing Lawrence is nothing to sneeze at but anyone really want to take bets on Clemson not being in the playoff next year?
