From Jamie Uyeyama who covers Notre Dame for Irish Sports Daily

”Think TJ will work out well for you guys. He gets in on some kids about to blow up in Louisiana early. Just can’t get those guys to ND. Bet you’ll take some.”
”Good coach, can handle S or CB. His guys are solid all around.”

It seems like they’ll pair him with someone, maybe Corey Raymond. ”If they do, it’s a wrap because you know he can recruit his *** off.”

FootballScoop reporting that the cost of paying off the old staff plus hiring the new will exceed $60 million!

they also say, “Sources told FootballScoop on Tuesday that Sarkisian’s assistant coaches’ salary pool, something key to Sarkisian on the front end of the discussions, would be an unprecedented commitment to hiring top assistant coaches.”

Terry Joseph is an incredible recruiter. This is welcoming news. A lot of people were hoping he would take over the DC title at notre dame

On the DC hire, IT saying he will not be named until after the national title if UT has their way.
With Joseph's focus on coaching safeties, they believe a big recruiting name could still be on the table as CBs coach (i.e. Raymond)

I've heard it said that "Those that can, do. Those that can't, coach."

I wrote this before and got a couple LOLs back, but again I say CDC has been doing a good job of putting a lid on the leaking, which had gotten out of hand with UM (and which has happened to us before on plenty of occasions - "agents love us").
The Terry Joseph hire was not on any of the paysite lists, it came out of the blue.
They seem to be out of the loop, despite their proclamations to the contrary

And why I liked the writers getting all butt hurt. The way it should be and hopefully a sign of a new day on the 40.
The guys who started jumping on CDC better get ready for the crow eating thread redux.

Well of course they are, say anything for a click and a buck. They're as bad as the MSM.

    A question on Golding....
Is he that good? Couldn't it be said his defense is underperforming relative to talent??

I guess they want Alabama guy but he hasn't given them an answer yet and we are waiting?

    Joe,

The $60 million is an exaggerated number. While I had nothing to do with it, it appears We finally have someone in charge that backloads the contracts. There is a handsome base salary but also generous bonuses for achievement of objectives.

The “media” reports the total dollars to generate clicks and viewership.

Who cares as long as they move us forward and the gross revenues get back closer to $250 million?

I think his DFEI slipped from 10th in 2019 to 27th this season
To us, that might not sound so bad
But it probably makes Saban want to choke someone

Here is a recent Bama article about him
Alabama fans, let’s finally give Pete Golding the credit he deserves

    (a) If its the Bama guy then it makes sense
    (b) If its Quinn, then I dont know. Saying "for the media run," doesnt do anything to help recruiting or the portalers

There are some rumors abut Boom to Bama, if that is ture, then it would seem to make Golding available

Most meaningful thing I read is that he adapts his system to fit the strengths of his players. What a concept.

Regarding Dan Quinn, he made $4.5M with the Falcons in 2019.

In the NCAA, the highest paid assistant made $2.5M
    (and it was Sark)
