Here's the (way too early) FPI national rankings posted on ESPN--with some editorial comments via emojis. The Big 12 is looking pretty heavy--more so than I had expected. 7 of the Top 25 are from the Big 12. 2021 College Football Power Index | ESPN 1. Alabama 2. Oklahoma 3. Clemson 4. Iowa State 5. Ohio State [picture a couch here] ...................... 6. aTm 7. Georgia 8. Miss State 9. Okla State ................... .... ........................a mullet fish... 10. Penn State 11. Notre Dame 12. TEXAS 13. UNC 14. Florida 15. Wisconsin 16. Auburn 17. Oregon 18. LSU 19. TCU 20. Miami 21. Texas Tech 22. Ole Miss 23. Iowa 24. West Virginia 25. Indiana
Yep, generally speaking. Often, I think the preseason rankings are rather generous towards us. I actually think we’re underrated this time.
I just don't see it for OK State. I thought we played poorly against them and still made our own breaks for the win. Sanders isn't as multidimensional as the pundits seem to believe.
Mostly predictable and typical preseason pollsters... always put the lowly sooners #2 or slightly below.... regardless if they truly deserve it.... Seriously? The Cyclones will not finish #4. Frogs and tech will not finish in the top 20.
Putting Oklahoma in the top 2/3 insures that they will sell copies to every household in Oklahoma, and most will buy more than one.
