My second visit to the new park and this time we sat in the cheap seats up on the 300's. Note to all fans going to Ranger games at the new park, if you are in the upper deck bring a sweater the AC is cranked up and it is cold cold cold up there. I mean bad enough that several families in our section were bailing to the lower rows and dealing with crying kids. Hell I was so cold would have cried too if I wasnt you know a 50 plus year old man. We waited until the fourth inning and moved down to a 200 section but even there it was still chilly. Obviously the upper decks are going to get the full force of the blowers so the lower decks feel pleasant. Tough to be a peon. Other than dealing with the unexpected cold front I remain incredibly impressed with the new digs, The amenities, the ample food choices and numerous picnic tables all over to eat at, and Texas Live is incredible on a football Sunday with all the fans in watching games before and after the Ranger game. The baseball was typical Rangers, fall behind, waste chances to stay in game and basically leave me thinking 2024 is the earliest they will be competitive. I know I am part of a dying breed but I still believe that nothing beats a Sunday at the ball park, bad baseball or not.
