We were a little late to the party as he had several other Power 5 offers since entering the portal last week but I'm glad we have offered! I'm biased but I think he's the best receiver in the portal.
For old timers, this kid has the speed of Tony Jones, the size of Everett Gay, and the leaping ability of James Lott. I have never seen a 46" vertical, but it is confirmed. Neyor on one side, Xay on the other, Venables will go crazy.
Not yet. I think he's going to take a couple of weeks to make some visits. My guess is that it's still wide open. I know USC, Tenn and Ole Miss were hot on him and offered early. Baylor and TCU both are in state options and have offered.
We had rumored interest in Cowing but didn't see that we offered. I know he has offers from Tech, LSU, Oregon, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Ms State.
One thing that stood out to me is that the writer Kevin Borba has declared Quinn Ewers as the starter next year. I was expecting a spirited competition this spring and have rarely seen a player anointed before they even step on campus. Wondering if he's that good and , if so, why is he in the portal?
Sark said it would be open competition this spring. Everybody outside the program, including most on this board it seems, have annointed him as starter. I don't think Sark promised any such thing.
