And that is probably the thought process for choosing Texas. He does not come in with the added pressure of carrying a team on his back, especially one that is rebuilding. He will get enough pressure from expectations of a quarterback with three top quarterbacks in his lineage. That creates extreme expectation by itself and so having a bit of cover with Ewers is smart. If in time if he has not earned the starting job and feels he needs to be a starter somewhere, there is the portal, letter of intent be damned. Chris and Major did not have that option. And as good as Mack was, managing the competition at quarterback was not his strong suit. Sark will have to do better at this, but it is a g0od problem to have.
I hope he sticks because he seems to be good kid, as well as a hell of a football player.
