Apologies for initially misinterpreting your position. Maybe we can remember to reach agreement on it next year.

Don’t you love jobs where there is no way to win and ever which way to lose?

I suppose if the countdown is to game day (vs the game time), then the timer is correct (12:00 am Saturday morning). We had a poster last year that wanted to match jersey number with “days”. I thought that made sense but open to doing it your way next year if I can remember. Maybe we need a convention next June to sort these things out.

What are we going to do when negative uniform numbers are allowed? It is going to happen. 00 is just the start since it is debatable whether it is a positive number. Might as well start discussing now since there is talk of countdown clock realignment in the air. Just sayin'!

I took my family to that game. My boys were very young but it made them 'Horn fans for life.

Yep. Textbook blocking by the OL and a key block by Ricky along with the burst by Priest was a thing of beauty. Easily one of the top Longhorn games of all time. :hookem::bevo:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that was after two knee surgeries.

If anyone can find & post the Baltimore Sun's article on Priest when he was there as an undrafted free agent, it is outstanding.

    1) He refused to use his money to buy a car, instead getting rides from other players or riding the city bus.

    2) Having his girlfriend agree to give him custody of his son because he thought a boy needed his father's influence, and how the two of them lived in an apartment, and Priest used his money for a really good private school rather than "toys".

FWIW, his first car was a freebe from a dealership in Bexar County after he led the league in rushing.

Great athlete, but better human being.

That run by Priest was awesome for me and girls cause we were in the EZ and when it broke open he was running straight at us. Needless to say our hearts skipped several beats watching him break free and race to the finish!
