UT should hire NFL investigators. 1-2 game suspension tops.

I agree, but when the domestic violence charge includes 'assault on a family/household member-impede breath circulation'...that'll end a career.

well I got in trouble for domestic violence one time and I was totally innocent, well almost totally innocent.
I was minding my own business sitting in my living room. just turned on TV to watch college football and my wife, at the time, comes in their complaining about my mother. I tried to diffuse the situation but then she starts cussing some really bad words that a woman especially my wife about my mother ought not say. That's when I really start diffusing. Then she picks up a kids toy and threw it at me hitting me. I picked it up and threw it back. We had a few more words and I left for a couple of hours. when I got home I found out she had called the police. we had make up sex (TMI). But the next day or two, I found out that I needed to go to the police station to turn myself in. I was there overnight. She claimed she had a bruised finger.
so guess who had to take anger management classes and community service and pay for the classes.
so I said that to say this,
it's not always the guys fault, though when you read the headlines it sounds like it is.

No question that many innocent folks get railroaded by a false accusation of domestic violence. The laws regarding domestic violence have gotten way out of control due to the belief of one side only. Guys have gone homeless for 3 months or more due the present state laws.

A guy on the radio this morning said that if he was restraining somebody, the charge they filed would be correct, even tho it sounds like he was choking someone if you just read the charge. Let's hold off on judgement - it will come out eventually what really happened.

AAS reporting that Beard's attorney stated he is 100% innocent, should never have been arrested and the complainant wants him released and charges dismissed. We'll see...

This was t me or I’d own up to it.
One of the most passive guys I know had a situation where his recently broken up with but waiting for lease to end GF got mad he dated another girl. She throws all his stuff out of the second story window he discovered upon returning, a spirited conversation occurred… cops were called and she falsely accused him of grabbing her. Austin, being Austin, took him downtown. I’m pro cop, but he was informed in Austin if cops are called to a domestic dispute, someone is going to jail.
No evidence, no injury, crazy GF actually recanted later…

    Phil,

Not my first time to post this - TWO WORDS: TONY EDWARDS!

Nobody on here knows anything about the situation, what happened, or who was involved. I'm sure that over the next few days, we will have:

    1) The Aggie version
    2) The Tech version
    3) The OU version
    4) The militant feminist version
    5) The "Like to see him try that on Britney Griner" version
    6) The "never should have run Shaka off" version

I have complete faith and trust in CDC to do what needs to be done. The main thing is to get help for any participants, then rebut the media and special interest groups.

I'm not trying to "spin" anything. I have no tolerance for a man hitting a woman, but neither do I have any tolerance for the rush to judgement crowd when we have none of the facts, particularly with the track record of the APD.

Ok but it seems like wife or girlfriend never get arrested or accused despite woke's openness to it. i know angry people, seems about 51/49 in my life but arrests are 95 to 5

as a general rule I don't tolerate a man hitting a woman, but I also believe that some women ask for it in certain situations. They aren't always innocent.

No judgement from me at this time...The arrest record is damning...talks about physical evidence (bite mark, contusion, etc) on the victim. We'll see what happens.

I realize this will sound crappy but what the hell... I cant understand why UT does not seem to give its coaches any kind of coaching on how to deal with crap situations. Herman completely mishandled the EOT controversy and now it seems Beard did not involve attorneys straight away. How can he be so stupid? His attorney should have arrived before the police. I can't understand this. Anyway if this was a student athlete, there is a snow balls chance in hell that he would be kept around. Seems to me coaches should be kept at a much higher level of accountability. So see you Stupid.

The big challenge for CDC will be if the fiancé drops the charges. It’s a bad look for Beard either way, but he is innocent until proven guilty. Regardless, I’d be on the phone looking for a replacement.

In this analogy, Beard will be the Marine left behind.

Poop this if you think this is too political and I‘ll delete it.

I only pooped for 2 reasons.
    1. Marines don’t leave anyone behind, analogy is moot.
    2. Marine is always with a capital M.
