Not being argumentative, just pointing out the fact sark has more experience as a HC than smart. I won't ask which has been more successful because to me it's obvious. Sark has been below average as a head coach given the programs he's taken over

Herbie enjoyed the beatdown of TCU more than anyone on the planet. He continually commented on what does this say about the big 12.
It says to me the frogs got there and the rest didn’t, especially his beloved buckeyes that were gifted that opportunity.
He then tries to cover up his disdain for the Big XII by saying TCU will be the face of the conference once Texas and Oklahoma leave.

My late wife and I were on the 50 yard line for that one as students.
I was so glad to get revenge for that game in our last meeting. Was bitter sweet with her gone however. But I know she was watching. Cancer took her at age 39. But heaven gained the best CPA and longhorn.

Sark did reasonably well at WA, righting a sinking ship.

Then went to USC and had the drinking problem too early in his tenure to draw any legitimate conclusions. So to me the sample size (and the sample) is ambiguous.

He may fail, but I suspect not. My greatest concern though is his play-calling, and his hesitation so far to turn it over to a true OC.

Wow what a bad memory. TCU beat the big 10 champ. They picked the wrong night of the year to play their worst game of the year. But by beating the #2 team in the country, they showed they belong.

I believe the no. 2 team beat the no 2 team.

GA has got to be the lucky team in the series. OSU lost their best receiver that GA could not cover, no targeting called, then CHOKED a very maleable FG.

Then he came here and had the thinking problem. Specifically on on 3rd and one, 4th and one.

The OSU scare was apparently the best thing to happen to Georgia.

Again, not to be argumentative , but in 5 years the best he could muster was 8 wins. That's not acceptable anywhere.

As far as usc, he was fully "self destruction." I just can't provide cover for someone that pisses away a chance like that. Coordinator? Sure, 2nd chance is not a problem. Head coach at TEXAS? Nope. You can't handle the position (que the video where he goes off on a TV guy in the tunnel at the Alamodome)

My post-mortem on this whole thing is that TCU dramatically overachieved, did so with a very experienced roster, got lucky along the way, backed into the CFP because other teams (like Bama) screwed around and had an extra loss, and then found themselves in a fight they were not clearly not qualified to be in. TCU finds itself the laughing stock of college football today. Just search "TCU" on any social media platform. They did more damage to their program by being in this game than if they had lost a close game to Michigan in the semis. You can't take a roster like theirs with several years of subpar classes and try to matchup with Georgia. Heck, Texas matched up better in that game than TCU did. We already know Georgia's average class-ranking for the last 5 years is either #1 or #2. Here's how the froggies fared:
    2022 - 45th
    2021 - 54th
    2020 - 23rd
    2019 - 32nd
    2018 - 25th

This beatdown was totally predictable. I just can't believe how BIG of a beatdown it was.

As doubtful as I am in Sark I hope we still give him as much time as Uga has given Smart.
A little continuity goes a long way in college football and we have had none of that for 13 years.

plus, people can and do change. Not all the time but it does happen. But they have to have a fair chance.

Dukesteer, the biggest concern I have with Sark is that his play calling was supposed to be his biggest strength.

Kirby Smart worked under Saban for 8 years I think including several national championship runs. He is teaching at is alma mater and knows how the SEC works with regards to recruiting. He hired strong coordinators and appears to be great at motivating players. While I can agree that Georgia was down key players when we beat them, they were still favorites to "destroy" Texas. I think he learned from that game and his team came out very motivated and played with energy from the very beginning.

My opinion stated on another thread is that I have doubts about Sark as the Head Coach to lead the program out of the wilderness of being irrelevant to contending for a NC. He has to be the head coach first instead of part head coach, part offensive coordinator and part play caller. It diminishes the performance in each area (jack of all trades and master of none so to speak). Sark had a golden opportunity to get the team to overachieve this year (even with all the freshman and relatively inexperienced sophomores in key positions) given the overall mediocrity of the conference (I think we were favored in every game but Bama) and he did not take advantage of the opportunity. In that regard, the season was a big disappointment. If comparing Sark to Smart, the complete dumpster fire in the locker room and a serious lack of talent in the trenches that Sark inherited is not in any manner comparable to what Kirby Smart walked into at Georgia. I think that the upgrades in talent this year puts the situation closer to where Georgia was when Smart arrived, and he went 8-5 that first year. Sark needs to win 10 games next year (no home losses and another destruction of the land thieves would be nice) and play for a conference championship. That alone would probably mean another top five recruiting class and then we will have moved into the outskirts of the NC neighborhood.

We could do better at HC if he doesn't get us to the CCG. TCU has one year with Dykes and all he had to do was show up with some transfers to get to the national championship. This carousel has been infuriating since 2013 and Sark knows he can't sell the idea of "perennial 8-4 team" to the BMD's.

Georgia will be back in the $EC Championship game next year as a very fresh team. Who out of this schedule will even put up a moderate amount of fight:

    UT-Martin
    Ball State
    South Carolina
    UAB
    Auburn
    Kentucky
    Vandy
    Florida
    Missouri
    Ole Miss
    Tennessee
    Georgia

    Tennessee maybe?

Michigan, Alabama, and Tennessee would have lost handily last night too if Georgia played the same way. And likely Ohio State too.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

That, IS a very soft schedule for a NC team returning most of the same starters. As stated maybe Tenn., and I will throw in FL, gives them a game.

Last game on that list should be GA TECH.

Very soft, but remember they were scheduled to play OU but it was cancelled. Not sure why Texas and Bama can play, but OU and Georgia cannot.

Kirby was 8-5 his first year then 13-2 his second year winning the Rose Bowl and losing in the championship game. This is his 7th year in total as a head coach appearing in 3 national championship games and winning 2 with his worst year being his first 8-5 season.

Kirby didn't need time, he just went out and did it. He took over a really good program and made it better.

Not true—we were 7-3. The year before was 8-5. The year before that was 10-4…25-12. 25-12 wasn’t good enough.

    Where are we now? 13-12
In a order for us to replicate. 25-12-we need to go 12-0 next year.
I know things were said that disgruntled people and the song wasn’t sung a few times, but in
reality we are more a train wreck now if
    the metric is winning.
