Even "equal opportunity" is unrealistic, much less "equal outcomes". I know my kids didn't have the same opportunities as Chelsea, Sasha and Malia.

this really is our number one problem. Obviously, we don't want to force people to stay married to bad spouses but our bar for divorce is way too low as a society. We need to go back to the days that at the very least Divorce was a bit of a stigma. We went too far in putting badges of honor on "Single Mothers". We made martyrs out of them and as a result women are much more willing to take that step.

This is important to admit. Republicans get this very wrong. Old time Conservatives knew that there is no equality. Everyone is different. If you fight for equality of opportunity you are fighting for a Leftist vision of the world. Conservatives understand hierarchy in society it is why they supported aristocracy.

The only equality that is defensibly and still align with natural rights is equal treatment under the law. For certain behavior, the law should address everyone the same way regardless of race or social class.

 

Because divorce law is written to benefit women and harm men. They get the kids and the man has to pay her money, even if she doesn't need it. Perverse incentives produce perverse outcomes.

Modern relationships especially involving young people are basically built around men doing their damnedest to make their wives happy while men don't get much back beyond sex. Once all of the evils escaped, the only thing left in her "box" was Hope forever sealed away from men (and presumably inside of her) in the box (jar). All women born after her would possess this power and all men, whether with a woman or not, would suffer the punishment. Therefore today, women should be much more appreciative and protective of her most dangerous and precious gift...her jar which will later will be known as her Box.

If those leaving California understand that the reason CA is going down the tubes is the far-left policies of the state government they elected, there might be some hope - provided they don't vote for the same policies in their new home states.

 

Sadly, a large number of them don't know that. That's why places like Collin County, Texas are now pink instead of deep red like they were ten years ago. Places like Dallas County are dark blue instead of baby blue.

 

We need to build some walls.

 

I wouldn't mind keeping them from voting until they've gone through a bit of a reeducation program for about ten years.

Videos like that are showing up on Twitter almost every day. It's nauseating, and I don't mean the drag queens. They're disgusting, but we've had drag queens forever. The big difference is that they used to mainly do their crap at gay bars and clubs where adults could just wallow in their depravity. I blame the screwed-up parents creating a market for it and bringing their children to it. It's absolutely insane. It's all about corrupting their children to make themselves feel better for being screwed-up themselves. Very, very sick stuff.
