Terry has definitely had the coaching magic tonight, with Disu out and the crap calls getting us in foul trouble.
Anybody else still want some revenge for the 1990 Cotton Bowl vs Miami? I mean that game never happened, but if it did, ya know, I would want some payback.
Great game. This team finds ways to win, plays as a team, plays defense, and a different person takes the lead on scoring each game.
That big dude for Xavier, thankfully, just did not know how to use his size. Rarely went strong at the rim, and always reached or swatted out of position on D instead of using his length to alter shots.
Yes they did, but PSU looked good in the game before they played us. Xavier looked good in the game before they played us as well. Colgate was a three point machine before they played us. Horns are playing championship level defense right now and the offense is coming from different players every game. Miami is more athletic than Xavier and bigger than PSU and will be a challenge especially if we have to play a small lineup. Hopefully the Horns are up to the challenge and can come home to Texas for the Final Four. Everyone have damn positive thoughts about Disu’s foot healing in 36 hours or so.
Big dude can play, but is slower footed. He just couldn't maintain good position when we shared the ball, and he got pulled out of the middle because he had to respect our midrange and outside shooting.
I actually watched the entire game. That was a dominating performance on defense from the opening tip-off. If the team can continue that level of play, there's no reason they can't win the tournament.
We beat them up and out physicalled them. Terry is really game planning well. It was worth staying up till 4am here to watch it.
