If HVL does go to LSU, I'm hoping that the staff can get in on Endyia Rogers. I'm pretty sure that she's waiting to see what LSU does. She would be a perfect fit for Vic's system and what this team needs.
I would love to see a home and away series against LSU. Between ABC/ESPN and Gameday all around the Moody Center would be great for the Womens game.
I doubt that will happen now that we will be in the same conference beginning starting with the 2024-25 season. But it would have been a good idea otherwise.
Yes you are right. Do you yet know if that series would be home and away every year or would it rotate? I would like to see us play A&M, Okla and LSU every year regardless the sport.
It's one rotating home and away series with the remaining 14 being either home or away. Six SEC sports future scheduling formats are approved
Yep... so there will be a lot of luck involved in certain years depending on which top teams play on the other's home floor and which ones don't. Welcome to the world of mega conferences. I'm not a fan of it.
The original Big 12 basketball conference schedule frustrated me greatly so I’m dreading the even more frustrating SEC version. Alas, I guess round robin is out this season as well as a precursor
Correct. If I'm not mistaken, the new Big 12 basketball schedule will be about as f'd up as the SEC. Have you seen the new B12 football schedule by any chance? All teams don't even play one another.
I figured Day-Wilson would probably end up at Miami whether old high school teammate Latasha Lattimore. Park-Lane... not sure what we would have done with another tiny guard anyway.
If that's an accurate rebounding stat, maybe Shaylee can recruit her to Texas . . . BYU basketball’s Lauren Gustin reportedly enters transfer portal - Deseret News
4. Lexi Donarski visited North Carolina last week, in addition to Indiana before that. She would fit well with Iowa if she were to stay in the Midwest. Hoping for a Texas visit if she's willing to visit North Carolina. 10. Te-Hina Paopao visited South Carolina this last weekend. "The 6-foot guard picked the Tar Heels after a very heavy recruitment process after she announced her intention to leave the Cyclones the last week of March. Donarski spent hours discussing possibilities with coaches over the phone for four weeks until making her decision." College women's basketball: Lexi Donarski headed to North Carolina
IMO both going Rodgers isn’t a done deal TCu and us still in the mix is what somebody else said but idk
Whoever this is let’s hope they come to Texas. I don’t care who it is at this point I just want some good news
In my view, no news is also good news as in Texas roster remains intact. Texas has a lot of good players who still have upside as individuals and a team. Retention matters. And as we can now see, the Portal is not Amazon Prime - hit the button and your order arrives tomorrow if not sooner.
There have been three players sitting on the bench all season who will (hopefully) be ready to display their talents in the coming season. Codio, Maul, and Graves, all listed as Guards, were recruited for a reason so I'm expecting great things from them. AMo should be back. Amina and Jak got more minutes than expected in their freshman season so their game should only get better. A pickup or two from the Portal would be okay but I don't see it as the end of the world if there are no additions.
Not to mock y'all. But I think is just: What is FOMO (fear of missing out)? Definition from WhatIs.com. Not everyone can (or wants to) play in Vic's system.
None of those are a good backup PG/SG option and if Rori has to play 40 min every game she won't be playing in March. If you expect Graves to be anything more than what Anissa was you have very high expectations. Codio and Maul could play SF, but having them at PG would result in more turnovers than when Gonzalez plays PG. I would be very happy if the only thing Vic gets is a talented PG/SG that can come in and spell Rori without much drop off.
Sarah Graves is a walkon. Even in blowouts Vic didn't put her in until one game @KSU and she was in for 1:06.
