Good Fastball + Real Good Changeups = Good-to-Go

Geno may be the smartest pitcher we've put on the mound in quite a while.

(Baseball smarts at least; I have no idea if he aced his Differential Equations and Organic Chemistry finals...)

And Gordon's performance today is how a 1st Team All-American pitches.

I'm not saying he's Roger Clemens or anything, but seriously, Lucas Gordon needs to go down as one of our best pitchers we've had here. In our Top 10 all-time, at least. 1st Team All-American and Conference Pitcher of the Year.

Good fodder for a thread. Top ten Longhorn pitchers while in a UT uniform

    Gleaton
    Clemens
    Hooton
    Swindell
    Schiraldi
    Street
    Petkovsek
    Creel
    Ricky Wright
    Arnold
#11, and I have to include him since he kept us alive in 83... Steve Labay

Gordon belongs, maybe in place of petkovsek. But he was a horse here too

Honorable mention. Gideon, Reichenbach, Garner, Brizzolara, Killingsworth, Acker, etc etc

Kieschnick would replace Schiraldi in my book. Calvin would be on my honorable mention list.

Chance Ruffin played a very important role here, both as a pitcher and a leader

Not sure if it was 82 or 83 but Cal's #'s were superior to Clemens. And we don't win 83 without Cal

I would like add the name of Bobby Layne to that list as he was 28-0 in SWC play
