Gamergate was a stupid controversy involving dateless loser online gamer dorks who've never kissed a girl getting pissed about feminist game developers and acting like dicks to female players and feminists overreacting to it. Mike Johnson said he was against the corruption of the military industrial complex until someone whispered in his ear how important all of it was. He is selling out the American people for the Deep State. He needs to be removed from his position. He is a traitor to Americans and a coward.
Eventually a few retiring Republicans need to make a deal with Jefferies (like agreeing to let Republicans run the Rules Committee so he can't do much damage) and save us from our own idiocy. It'll suck to put a Democrat in charge of the House, but the **** show needs to end. He wouldn't have to rely on people like Gaetz and MTG to keep his job.
I'm not sure what else to do. We can't run Congress with a new speaker every time Gaetz or Green wants their names in the paper or have a high profile press conference.
Congress runs to send our money to foreign countries while they ignore border security and other anti-right discrimination. It is better if they don't run. With a Democrat as Speaker they would probably accelerate spending our money and leaving us exposed to evil doers. I'll pass.
Speaker Johnson is prioritizing Democrat priorities over Republican ones. He needs to go. If that means the federal government doesn't do much for a while, that is all the better. If you like Jeffries, you should like Johnson too. Either way you get what you want, unless the Republicans continue their search for a man that will stand up for conservative values and the Republican voting base.
I thought defending democracies and honoring collective security arrangements was a Republican priority. As for the military industrial complex, it won WW II against the wishes of some isolationist elements but most of us are resigned to a lot of misappropriation if the job gets done and I resent the high jacking of the thread. I did not know anything about that woman before
