Game 4: OKC 100-96. MAVS had nice leads at times but got cold late 4th, Thunder got hot, plus Mavs shot 50% of free throws for the game - was just a killer. Series tied 2-2 going to OKC.
Another surprising yet great year for the Mavs. It's obvious that glue guys like Washington and Gafford have been the big difference, so anyone who was criticizing that trade needs to repent. Nico has done a good job working with what they got. I'm not super excited about Kidd's extension, but in a world where a coach can get you to the conference finals, it's strange to say "adios" unless you're the Lakers or whoever. It's obviously going to be a tough matchup against KAT and Gobert. Much like the OKC series, where Shai got his numbers, Ant will also. It really does come down to the "non-stars."

I gave up on them at the half. Went for a walk. Got back and Mavs had cut the halftime lead in half. I cannot believe that finish. Wow!!

I don't watch much NBA and frankly don't care. BUT, during the playoffs I've watched a couple Celtics games and I have no idea how they keep winning. Their offense is 4 guys standing around while the guy with the ball plays one on one with a defender. Their defense is stand around and only actively defend the guy with the ball. They must be head and shoulders incredibly more athletic than other teams. The Mav's actually have an offense with motion and movement and they play a fairly physical brand of defense. If the Mav's get physical with them and force them to play actual basketball they could pull the upset.
Honestly, Boston in 7. But I'm loving it. My bummer is our family vacation is the week of the Finals in Dallas for Game 3 and 4. Have to sell my tickets.
