I'm listening to Jay Thomas on Sirius now and they think it's true, although Stern's show is now on vacation for a week. So no way to know for sure until the week after next.
I heard this this morning and I've gotta agree with bongo. I've like artie, but he's gotten progressively worse after Dana and him split. The past few weeks he's become progressively more douchey.
Plus he's supposed to go to Amsterdam tonight. I think Artie can be really funny but i do get a sense that he is a pompous *** a lot of times. I would like to see some different comics on the show, like Dave Atell. Artie is still funny, but he is losing it I'm also looking forward to this one on HowardTV
Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE STEALING MY MONEY!!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!! I caught the meltdown live. I've said this before, and this adds to its proof, Artie is nothing but a glorified WackPacker. He has been lucky enough to be able to brush together all the Stern show misfits and take it on the road for a buck.
Man, i'm glad to hear that some other hornfans posters listen to stern. Personally, I'm a big Artie fan, but he's definitely been spiraling into a bad place since he broke up with Dana. If he does end up leaving the show, I would totatly be up for Greg Fitzsimmons sitting in his chair.
On the drive home I was wondering why they were replaying a show from last week. Makes sense now. Listening to the segment online was interesting. Robin really showed her anger for Howard but then quickly returned to kissing his butt, as always, when they talked about the attack.
Artie and Teddy made the flight to Amsterdam last night. I think artie brings a lot to the show. his fight with sal was classic. And speaking of Sal (and Richard) THAT is who you should be mentioning when you say glorified wackpacker who gets to brush with greatness. It used to be on that show that a toolbox like sal would call in and get mocked, but now he's actually earning a paycheck there. A disgrace. Fitzsimmons would be a good addition. So would Colin Quinn. If it's Bob Levy i will cancel my subscription. That unfunny, talentless, illiterate piece of **** had to open his own comedy club to get steady work. They call it the Killers of Comedy because he and Sal actually killed comedy.
I listen as well and that was crazy. I love Artie on the show and would hate for him to leave for good. I think Artie's been back on drugs for a while. He's been off for a while. Very angry. He's been bitching about the hours but come on any normal non 300lb person should be able handle his schedule. I seriously think he needs to go to rehab. Howard should tell him to go to rehab if he needs to and his job will be there waiting for him when he's done.
Yeah I caught it live too and was like dayum! Dude went off! I didnt realize they were playing replays from previous days later that day. But i can understand why. Hopefully they won't snub it for HowardTV because if they do i'm cancelling my subscription
The recent segment where the shrink talked with Artie and High Pitch Mike demonstrated Artie's instability. He appears to explode at times. He can easily defeat almost anyone in a verbal fight but resorts to unfunny name calling. I like him on the show but he has become a sad person lately.
i heard it live... i love artie on the show. i would hate to see him go. i thought it was wierd how Artie says something like "i cant fire him he has.........uhh.....too many problems" sounded like he caught himself about to say that teddy had some **** on him and if he fires him the **** will come out.
I don't see Colin Quinn going full time to Stern. He's very close with Jim Norton (3rd mike on Opie and Anthony) and all the guys over there. But, then again, money talks.
due to the nsfw language, I can't listen to the link... Can someone give me a quick rundown of what happened?
Teddy, Artie's assistant, borrowed some money from him. Artie didn't get his money back ASAP, and now he thinks that Teddy is ripping him off. Teddy is a ****** assistant, and Artie is "too nice of a guy" to fire him. They argue for a while on air, Artie throws a glass of water at Teddy and then has to be restrained.
show history tells me that everything will be A.O.K after the vacation. Artie wont be in studio on Monday, as usual and Howard will make a brief reference about Artie and then continue the show. Art will be back Tuesday with an apology and the show will go on, just like it always does. Learn How to Work!
Artie and his assistant Teddy were fight in the halls. They are always fighting because Teddy doesn't do a good job. Teddy works at Sirius and Artie hired him at first to fill his I-pod (paid him like 500 bucks). Well it turned into Artie hiring Teddy as his part-time assistant. Artie needs a full time professional assistant because Teddy really sucks at it. It's pretty funny because Artie is always yelling at him. Well on Thursday Artie was yelling at Teddy because Teddy was asking for Artie's passport AGAIN when he should have made a copy of it. then it turns out he did make some copies and left them on the printer. Artie just got angrier and angrier, told everyone Teddy's salary, he's borrowing money and doesn't' pay him back, at the very end accused him of stealing money. Threw a bottle of water at Teddy and went after him and four guys had to hold Artie back. Artie came back in blamed it all on Howard for bringing it up, resigned, and Howard accepted it. They pulled the replays and show recap.
