Newberg is reporting that Kinsler has been diagnosed with a sports hernia and is out for weeks and maybe the season.

[IMG] This is more bad news to go with the f-a-d-e we are seeing.... just more disappointment and season ending pain for the Rangers and their fans. It was an exciting season after the early season slump... next year promises to be much better but they gotta stay healthy and we gotta have some decent & consistent pitching.

well, good thing it's football season. Rangers are 2-9 in their last 11 games, and Kinsler is now out for the remainder. This team is giving us a lot of be excited about this year, but they just couldn't escape the inevitable. '09 should have a lot of people really hyped about this team. I have heard several sports casters claim that they could be the TB Rays of 2009.

The Rays have deep pitching... which is keeping them alive and winning despite losing some of their better hitters to injuries.

What is the outlook for the Rangers' pitching staff next year?

That sucks, time to really start focusing on next season. If the Rangers have any hope next year, these young pitchers in the minors are gonna have to step up big. Meaning the high draft picks, not just the guys who have been around for 10 years and are career minor leaguers.

What happened to Kason Gabbard? I thought he would be serviceable 5th starter.

I still like Gabbard as a back-of-the-rotation guy and I'm willing to believe that his control problems stemmed from the bone spurs.

I think Holland will be ready by the ASB next year and I think he's a better prospect than Feliz right now.

and i agree with you...this is a very big start for B-Mac to see what he can do

itll be worth it just to quiet the group that cries about the Danks trade non stop

stRangers drop a 7-5 decision to the lowly Tribe... the ugly losing trend continues, but thankfully Aug. 30th @ 6:00 is close to take my mind off the f-a-d-e of the good guys.
