The Harper-Brown race is still waiting for provisionals to be counted, so it's no guarantee at this point. Either way, considering the number of R's that defected last session, Craddick won't survive even if it's 76-74.
My rep is now a Democrat. Craddick managed to get his hand-picked guy to win the Republican primary knocking off one the Republicans who opposed Craddick. He couldn't close the deal though so a district which has had a Republican representative for at least 20 years now has a Democrat.
Fairly common tactic by Craddick to get a one of his hired guns to run against a Republican incumbent in the Republican Primary. Those Republicans that don't support him as Speaker usually have to run against one of his well-financed picks in the primary. I guess that's just politics.
