I firmly believe that cooler heads in the GOP will prevail and perhaps you are seeing this already. Despite Palin's ambitions for the Presidency, they have to recognize that she will never be a serious threat as a candidate, and in fact she has made a mockery of the party. I predict that leaks will come fast and furious as factions of the party seek to undermine Palin completely.
The real story is Fox hiding this from the public to protect their golden children, McCain/Palin. What a joke, and what a joke it is for Republicans to point fingers at "MSM," every time there is a negative news story about one of their own.
I seriously doubt that Palin has a bright future in politics outside of Alaska. During this campaign the Republicans discovered that in addition to this extravagant binge shopping and resultant distrust, she just isn't very knowledgeable on matters that matter.
Does anybody read before gloating? Some news organizations, including FOX, made deals with the 2 campains to embed reporters in the campains and give almost unfetterred access on the condition that none of the information could be reealed before the election. Obama's campain had one too. You people that cry conspiracy or claim FOX was shielding their candidates or something like that look like children.
Bronco. I agree with that. Why doesnt that apply to the LA Times who was accused of "hiding" a damaging video of Obama?
I don't really know anything about the LA Times deal. May be similar. I do know this deal was approved by both campains and the reporters covering the campains a long time ago. No way would such close access be given unless it was off the record.
According to Palin, a lot of the extra stuff was 'lost'. Apparently someone thinks she's still got the loot:
We all know large families who tend to be unruly. They also generally have a lot of drama. Is it just me or is it VERY easy to see this with the Palin's in tow? They just bring a lot of personal drama.... Palin was right. She's just like a lot of people I know. That was the problem.
I think ol' Todd's going to be dragging her *** back to Alaska and she's not going to see the light of day for awhile. She's gotta like homemaking **** to do - can't imagine how the State of Alaska has been running lately. Hook'em!!!
Maybe this was McCain's way of giving the Republican Party one last "f**k you." He gave them the gift that will keep on giving.
Hard to believe this story from an unknown source. She had cameras following her everywhere, but not one picture from Neiman Marcus.
She made a few speeches about it, actually. It's not a secret. Like I've said, this is what gets me about the Right. They'll believe damn near anything about Obama but when it comes to their candidates, they want proof. Then, when they get the proof, it either has an agenda or the question the credibility. Republicans now questioning Fox News is an irony that is not lost on me.
score4ou, brntorng: while there may not be photos of Palin & crew heading to the mall with the GOP's credit card, there are apparently numerous receipts to the R.N.C. From 1/2 page earlier in this thread:
This unnamed is saying she bought the clothes and for a whole lot more money than first reported. She says the RNC bought them. If Palin went on this shopping spree, there would be pictures everywhere. This thing sounds really fishy. Has anyone checked to see if the unnamed source has a backwards B scratched in their face.
score, what part of Sarah Palin's quotes are you having a hard time digesting? She never disputed the original report of a $150K wardrobe & instead deflected criticism by a) comparing the clothes to stage props and b) saying she would give them back when the campaign was over.
